I hit a new milestone this weekend - my previous largest fill-up was 18.2 gallons. Yesterday I made an 18.6 fill-up. I tend to use the same gas station out of habit.

    What's your single largest fill-up?

Needle was on E, Low fuel light had been on for awhile, really sweating it to get to my "cheap" station, had 350 miles on tank and put in 17.7 gal.

The inevitable “you’re going to burn up your fuel pump” reply is coming.
Used to always put 18 plus gallons in my old ‘15.

I used to do it all the time. But when l got older, l got a little more worried about running out of gas.

The most gas l ever pumped into my car was about 25 gallons on a 26 gallon tank. l was freaking out as it was an older car, and l didn't know how low the needle would go on the gas gauge! :goingcrazy:

I used to always do the test about where the needle was when it ran out but now i just don't play that far back in the yard.

I'm not sure I ever hit 18 gallons on a fill up - may have, just don't recall. I have gone a while with the low fuel light on, but it always ends up being 17-something. I get 24 mpg, so I'm well over 400 miles by then. Good ol' 4 cyl.!

I get 400 +/- miles to the light - I calculate my mileage every fill up so I can estimate a range - not sure what the listed capacity of the tank is though...

Just a hair over eighteen not long after I'd bought the truck. That was before the winch, ARB and sliders and before most gas had damn ethanol in it so I got about eighteen miles to the gallon instead of the current 14.3. I put a touch over seventeen gallons in it last week but normally I hate to go below a quarter tank.

    I’ve gone over 20 gallons on a fill-up a few times. 18-19 gallon fill-ups a lot.

I was looking for this thread since I just got this truck. The Low E light came on after work yesterday so, I drove about 5 miles to the station and managed to squeeze 17.8+ gallons in there. My manual states 21.1 gal. I guess it might make me a bit more comfortable when the yellow light is on but I am too old for foolish risk anymore.
