thanks! That does help. I highly doubt my used 885s are giving me a whole lot more lift than that.

 

It was about 1.75".

 

Here is a few pics of my 4x4 right before I took the lift off. I was running 885’s on the front and icon progressive 1.5 aal.

 

Man I just put some 883’s on today and I’m pretty sure I’m sitting higher up front then you. I’m not sure what’s a going on. I’m hoping they will settle at lest half an inch

 

883’s at 0” with new spring isolators. Brand new tsb leafs (toyota put them on last week.)

 

I guess my 885s have sagged a good amount as I have the exact same measurement up front. I am sitting at 23.5 on the back.

Did you measure the rear with the new TSB springs? I am going Saturday to get mine installed.

Hopefully I can get some sag out of mine! I know that’s the complete opposite of what everyone else wants.

For you guys commenting about having the new Toyota TSB leaf pack.
Have you noticed a difference between the new leaf pack and the original one?

I'm thinking of going in to see if they'll replace my leaf pack under the TSB (taking advantage of the situation as my leaf pack is 12 years old and sagging). But I've read online that Toyota is replacing all the leaf packs with the same type of leaf pack whereas originally the TRD Sport had a firmer leaf pack than non TRD trucks.
Essentially I'd be going from an old TRD Sport leaf spring set to a new non-TRD leaf spring set.

Has anybody else heard of this or know if there's any truth to that?

 

I can tell no difference in height or ride quality to be honest with ya.

 

I could be wrong, but I believe the only difference in Sport and non-sports is the valving in the shocks. I believe the springs are the same rate amongst the different trims.

 

I've had 885's and 5100 for a few years now. About 1 year ago I had the mechanic swap in a new set of 5100 and told him to leave the clips at the 0 setting as that is what I had previously.

I feel the truck absorbs the bumps/dips really awesome as uptravel is great with the 885/5100 combo. However, especially after this last swap in of new 5100s, I feel like it bottoms out (droop) with a nasty clunk whenever the tire gets off the ground. For example, whenever I go over a speed bump relatively quickly, once the tire gets over the hump, the tire/suspension drops and has a nasty thump. I don't remember that thump being so pronounced before.

Is this typical for this setup? If not, what could be causing this?
And, what could I do to mitigate it? I'm considering getting JBA UCAs to help with the droop bind of the balljoint.

 

Does the truck have the same amount of lift as before?

 

I have no idea and no way of knowing as I didn't measure before/after.

 

I took some pictures and measurements yesterday.

Front right and left are both at 24.5" from center of wheel.
Rear driver is 23"
Rear passenger is 22"

I had never noticed the 1" difference in the back and I have no idea why it is. It did have an empty tank so maybe that's why? I'll measure again tonight as I filled up this morning.

 

Yeah something ain’t adding up. That’s like over 4 inches of lift.

I'm starting to think the mechanic didn't put the clip on the 5100s on the 0 setting. Does someone know what setting the clips come in when purchased?

Can someone please measure from the bottom of the spring perch to the bottom of the shock body? Or is there a better way o knowing what clip it is in?
