    My guess is yes if it's not installed by them... and even if it is, might still void it because it's aftermarket.

    So according to one website:

    Despite the convenience of having a remote car starter, many people have misconceptions about them. One commonly held belief that is incorrect is that installing a remote car starter will void the vehicle’s warranty.

    Some car dealers tell vehicle owners that installing an aftermarket part in the vehicle will void the warranty, but that is not true. The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act prohibits a company from voiding a warranty or denying coverage under the warranty because the owner used or installed an aftermarket part.

    A dealer can deny warranty coverage, however, if the aftermarket part was defective or installed incorrectly and caused damage to a part that would have been covered under the warranty. According to the Federal Trade Commission, the dealer or manufacturer of the product would need to prove that the aftermarket part caused the damage before it could deny warranty coverage. In the case of a remote car starter, the vehicle’s dealer or manufacturer would need to prove that the remote starter caused a problem with another part of the car.

    Yeah... especially when it comes to this sort of stuff, it's hard to figure out. They always "hide" shit in there to screw you over in the end.

    I have an aftermarket car starter, side mirrors (tapped into electrical) and stereo. Just had my battery die and brought it in to look at the "charging system error" and they never mentioned any of it. Got a new battery under 36k warranty no questions asked when it tested bad.

    Put the capper back on for the winter and hoisted the cross bed tool box into the rafters. So much for my sports car and back to practicality.
