    I don't have to, I never said I could.

I've got a squad of internet tough guys who seem to be certain of the fact that they don't, and all I am saying is that they can, the OM states that they do, and not a single of of you has given any proof that they can't.

The fuck? You expect us to prove that they don't, but you won't provide any evidence that they do?

The OM says it transmits. It doesn't say how.

The truck does have transmit abilities numb nuts. That’s the whole point. You’re so hung up on “how” it does it though that you still don’t get it. You’re arguing about the means of delivery, and for some reason you seem hell bent on insisting it’s through the truck itself and not the cell phone which is probably the easiest way for them to do it.

Again, what is the bigger issue? How they do it or why?

Here's the explanation from their Japan page. Probably not far off from how they do it here.

Holy shit dude you're stating my exact point. I said initially you cant prove the truck doesn't transmit, and you hopped on my dick like a pogo stick trying to call me an idiot for entertaining the possibility the truck transmits.

You are on my fucking side at this point.

Somewhere in my manual it states that the lowly SR is incapable of transmitting anything.

I heard the LC series can't transmit anything either, but there's a package you can add to transmit ZSU-23 rounds :D

I think that some things are getting blurred here. I just noticed that two different issues are being argued as if they are the same.

Toyota connected is on 2020s, its their version of Onstar. Like Onstar, I bet its cellular based. Its a subscription service, so of course you are paying for the data transmission.

2019s and below, I would wager without proof, that Entune transmits data through your cell phone. No way would toyota foot the bill for data carrier fees. Catching occasional glimpses in how the corporate world works, this expense just wouldn't fly in any financial/ EBITDA discussion.

The point being, in the older trucks, you can turn your cell phone off.
