My passenger headlight doesn’t seem to sit flush against the body of the truck. I know the fit and finish of these trucks isn’t perfect but I’m curious if this can be adjusted?

Anyone else’s like this? Any tips?
    Thanks

I just don’t want to remove the side of the fender/ bumper to do it so I wasn’t sure if the bolts on top would give me any play.

I would look up some retro fit head light videos and see if there are some mounting bolts loose that is keeping from tucking up flush

If those are oem metal fenders and headlights, they shouldn’t be fitting like that.

I’d loosen or remove the headlight bolts /clips and see if you can wiggle it into position.

Most aftermarket headlights I’ve seen fit pretty perfect as well.

If you have fiberglass fenders, then that actually isn’t too bad.

Thats a pretty nasty gap. Is your truck new? Take it back to the dealer and have them fix it.

You will have to take most of the front end apart to get the bolts ,in order too move the headlight up and over a bit.Take it to the Dealer and have them fix it,thats why you have a warranty.

Yes! My truck has 3k miles on it and it’s like that. The other side has a smaller gap but it’s still there. I really wanted it to be as simple as loosening a few bolts and re aligning it bc Id rather not take it to the dealer

I just popped the hood leaned on it a bit and here it is!

I’d make sure all the clips are seated and maybe loosen the two top screws push in and then tighten them down. Go from there.

Wow that looks way better. Ok I’m going to fiddle with it tomorrow. I was hoping that I could loosen the top 2 bolts and then adjust it from there which is what you did. Mine must not be seated all the way

You will have to partially remove your bumper, I would bring it to the dealer so it's their problem I had to do it twice for my aftermarket headlights and when I pulled it out to re-seat the light and align it I scuffed the headlight so it's not worth it to me but you can do what you think is best.

Someone just said they fixed there’s with just a little pressure after loosening the top 2 bolts so I’m just going to loose them up and see if I can get it in there a little better without removing any of the front end. I’m at work now so I’ll post back.

Hopefully it’s a simple as loosen, push in and Re tighten. Won’t need the dealer for that

wrong! Mine both have a gap and actually wiggle in and out! Toyota engineer would not authorize a fix - and, furthermore, the 10 brand new 2019s on the lot all did the same thing. The whole front clip on these are real loose.

Fixed no?! I just closed the gap! If I drive down the street and back it might reappear! I was just saying I was able to move it back not saying it was fixed! :burp:
