    Why swap?

You would be better off with a valve body upgrade and or a rad designs shifter/controller.

Any road cyclist recommend a decent front bike light? Going to start biking to work next week, coming home well after dark on some non-lit road/trails

@JasonLee I think you mostly do mountain riding?

As much as I'd love to drop like $10k on some white phosphorus dualies, I'd rather spend that money on the truck lol

Wadsworth south of 470 has no street lights. Also a trail/bike path that runs parallel to it from Deer Creek Canyon Road down to Waterton road

    Interesting.

This is my first auto transmission since I began driving in '91. I just find this transmission/motor combo gutless. I drive like a grandma but doing 45-50 in the right lane up passes is even below my threshold. With my '98 manual I can go between 3rd and 4th and keep it at 70 mph easily.

Plus the shift points are not what I like.

What exactly does the valve body upgrade accomplish? Smoother shifting? I'm so unfamiliar with automatic transmissions.

Lastly, I'm getting a whine from what I believe is either the torque converter or transmission. It is not at all congruent with the power steering pump.

I always appreciate your insight and knowledge base, so please... lay it on me (no homo).

for commuting through unlit boulder backroads where the mountain lions hang out, I use a Light in Motion Trail 1000FC. I also have an older Urban 350 that I use when I don’t bring the bigger one.

If your night vision is good, you can get away with the Urban 500. If you have night vision issues, go for the Trail FC 1000.

don’t use the fuc**ng flash modes or you’ll piss people like me off. Also, object fixation is a thing and someone may hit you not on purpose.

I requested that removing the wipers off the Tacoma be stickied in the "Cheap DIY Mods" in the 1st gen section. Still haven't seen it yet.

I never use flash, my main concern is seeing all the garbage and debris on the side of the road. I'm not concerned as much with oncoming traffic as behind traffic.

Has the plastic guard for the USB given you any problems? Seems to be the main concern of the Amazon reviews
