Good to know, it still felt darn cold in that area.

Mine is #113 and I paid my invoice for my GooseGear items a few weeks back so I'm hoping to see those and install before I make the drive for the camper. I'll have to see what the weather is doing when the time comes, I'm hoping I don't have to reroute to a more southern highway and waste time/$.

I hear ya @Happy Heathen, I'll probably use up a week and a half of vacation on my drive but my work has a black out period in December due to 4th quarter financials closing so no vacation is allowed during that time. I'm just waiting for a final completion date so I can plan time away from work accordingly.

My wife and I have probably a good 20 nights of cold camping in so far. We spend a lot of time at our local mtn riding and camping out. I think the coldest temps we have been in so far was around 18-19 degrees F and stayed warm.

I made some insulated panels that slide in against the walls of the tent next to the bed which helped. Having an insulated inside tent cover would fix it all:)

Care to elaborate briefly? Soft/Hard panels? Material?
    Thanks!

yep! I had some reflectix laying around and some carpet so I measured out rectangles to match the tent shape from the front corner up to the windows edge. Cut the reflectix to match but a little larger so it would slip up into the edge of the roof and lower lip of the bottom frame. covered one side in carpet.

I just pul the out an lay them flat on the bed when we close up shop

I'm trying to plan for the drifter and determine my battery setup. I have a 3rd gen with a Northstar X2 24f battery (76Ah) as my "starter" battery. I was planning on using that single battery for the drifter interior light and the fan. I already have a Dometic PLB40 battery (40Ah LiPo) that we use for tent camping, so I thought I'd use that to power a fridge, charge phones, etc. and just let the 110 outlet in the truck bed recharge the PLB when driving or maybe get a suitcase solar panel when camping for a while. I guess my question is: Do you think the 24f AGM battery with a fuse block is sufficient for the drifter powered accessories? If we camp for more than a few nights, I suspect we'd be driving the truck some, so the alternator should be able to top off the battery. Any thoughts or input is appreciated.

You could try it out with what you have, but pick up one of those rechargeable battery jump starters. That way if the Drifter does drain the starter battery you won't be stranded.

I went with two yellowtop d35s for my setup with auto relay between them. All accessories go to the aux battery. The kit from offgrid engineering allows for both batteries to be under the hood so its super convenient

Hello gang. First time poster here.

I haven't read all 145 pages yet but I have a question about the different door options. Functionally, do the Frontrunner windows have any benefits? I'm trying to understand what makes them so popular because they are not cheap...

For anyone that DIDN'T get windows, do you regret that?

I believe the Frontrunner windows have a bigger opening. I think someone said they could fit a 33-35" tire thru the Frontrunner ones(not that you'd want to).

Ok, that makes sense. Probably not enough to make me pay twice as much but good to know.

@Wackyhacky Good info here. Thanks for those dimensions.

    ...too much shit to list.
I like that they have no latches extending from the door that can get snagged on the trail. And all metal and stout AF. And yeah, full size 35, no problem
