No hybrid for the Ridgeline refresh in 2020. Maybe next gen.

I guess some people might like that under bed storage. You could definitely fit allot of tampons in there where the full size spare should be. Can somebody enlighten me when opening the tailgate sideways would be useful? Trying to think of a circumstance when that would've been beneficial and can't come think of anything?

Theoretically it provides easier reach to items near the front of the bed. Not a draw to me; ditto the tampon storage space.

Personally, I find the 'I drive a real truck' comments to be so cringey. Sometimes I hate the community of vehicles I drive. I use to own a 15 WRX, and it was the same. Most of you guys are cool, but some of you are so insecure it's kinda sad. lol

I quite liked the Ridgeline when I drove it (back in 2018). It was my 2nd choice after the Taco. It's better in snow (AWD is better than 4WD for snow on regular roads), and is quicker with better road manners. It's also roomier with more creature comforts. If it wasn't so ugly, I may have actually bought that instead. I just hate the way it looks, and I got a way better deal on my Taco anyways. Personally, I think it makes more sense than buying, say.. a Nissan Frontier. That thing felt like it was built in 2002 when I drove it. Why buy that when you can buy a much better and similar vehicle in a Taco? At least the Ridgeline offers something different. It's mostly for people who want the convenience of a bed, without needing the other 'truck stuff'.

It’s mutually cringey for them regarding your coyness. The posters dropping tampon and lesbian jokes or whatever don't understand why you aren’t on their massive build threads or methodical discussions of aftermarket bumpers on their pristine trucks shitting on their toxic masculinity and under-endowment complexes. It’s never too late to slum it up.o_O

Actually your off a few years. The current version of the Frontier came out in 2005.:)

I happened to purchase one in 2016. In other threads I have stated why I chose the Frontier over Honda or Toyota or GMC/Chevy. Basically the current Frontier reminds me a great deal of my 2006 Tacoma. I may have purchased a Tacoma if the dealers would have dropped the price. The Ridgeline was just too expensive and a bit bigger than the Frontier. Did not like the ground clearance in the GMC/Chevy models with the front air dam. I also have no need for all the wiz bang electronics on some of the mid size trucks

I tend to keep vehicles 10+ years. So resell is not a factor with me. It all came down to price. All the mid size trucks have their + and - in them. People should purchase what they want.

How are you enjoying your Frontier? I was really close to getting into after a Pro4x after smashing my 07 Taco, but ended up back in a taco again. They were fairly close in price here, Tacoma was slightly more.

I like it a lot. I have the Pro 4x model. Purchased it Dec of 2016. No real issues. Nissan replaced the radio head unit because the manual volume control went bad. All under warranty. The turn radius is not as tight as the Tacoma. The seats are good enough I have done 800+ miles in a long day of driving. MPG is not great (14-15 in town, 20-21 highway if I keep under 75). Lifetime I have averaged 17mpg.

imo, Nissan got the bugs worked out after all these years. Pretty much the same model, engine and transmission since 2005. I like the new Tacoma, Just could not get them down to what I thought was reasonable. Today, it seems they all are negotiating prices.

That Nissan of yours is bulletproof and virtually zero problems. I had a 2007 that I gave to my son with 140k on the clock, wish I didn’t. I ran my roofing company out of it. God dam thing took a beating and I can’t think of one complaint.
Everything about it was better than my 2007 Tacoma, my 2015 Tacoma and definitely my 2018 Tacoma.

I've had two Tacomas, a 2009, and a 2016, now I have a 2020 Ridgeline, it fits my needs. It will tow 5,000 pounds, my boat and trailer each are 2,500 pounds or less, never off road, perfect for my needs.

The Ridgeline obviously exists for a reason. You are that reason.

Enjoy the hell out of it, dude. :)
