Hey guys, what's a good kit to go with for a 3" lift? I heard 5100s. Any other options?

Stay below 2.5in and you won’t need after market UCAs which are pretty pricey. It’s hard to answer this question with out knowing how you plan to use your truck

The bilsteins are the go to one here for a lot of people. Contact Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and they’ll set you up nice. Personally I ran ADS and that’s been top notch for me so far

Well, a budget of $5000 is a budget, so I'd probably start with an Icon stage 4 and go from there.

Or maybe give more information so people can help you more.

Budget as in cheap, at least that is what is typically implied when others say it generally. No context provided for my budget. To clarify, I am looking for some options for anywhere 500-1000 budget, and to pickup from what @El Duderino said, preferably 2.5" so I wouldn't have to sacrifice UCA replacement

    Much better.

As others have said, 5100s and an AAL should easily fall within that budget. I picked up the 5100 kit from Headstrong with a 887s and a single AAL for $750. If you have access to a spring compressor you can put them together yourself and save some money. 885s are super common too, and with your budget you should be able to get the triple AAL if you want/need.

I know I will probably be flamed for this one, but I put a Readylift kit on my truck. It ended up a pretty good purchase. It rides just like stock, aligned fine and gets me from point A to B. With that being said, if you are into extra...spirited...driving, you might want to look at 5100s.

Spacer lift. Cheapest option and it’ll provide you lift and you can still cruise the logging roads/light trails. You can probably get one installed at your local tire shop for under $600. I know Toyota charges $750 for a 3/1 but then you’re nose high with that lift.

That's not bad at all. I'm just having clearance issues turning with bigger tires and I'm trying to avoid trimming

Going to have to trim gotta pay to play they say. CMC is almost required for 285’s for clearance and it’s not bad to do to the truck

Never been a fan of spacer lift due to the preloaded compression it adds to the springs

Day star is not bad, rough country is not bad, if you are looking into space lifts. Otherwise I'd look at toytec or at old man emu

If you run just 5100s they do the same thing as a spacer lift does, you just dont see a spacer

Don’t do top plate spacers. They ride like :bucket:

I can sacrifice a little more to run full suspension. As long as they fall below 1500, 1000 ideally

They actually maintain a almost factory ride if put on the factory coilovers, I cant stand the misinformation on here sometimes just because people built up a hate for a spacer lol. I've been in trucks with fully tuned kings and ads suspension that ride stiffer than a spacer
