Hey guys I got a 2015 4.0 double cab 6ft bed 2nd gen and was looking at getting a fab four bumper with the integrated brush guard. And I saw it weighs about 175 pounds and was wondering if I new springs or a lift. But I'm a little worried if i have to do that it will affect how comfortable the ride is.

Yea, you'll want beefier suspension. Factory is roughly 50lbs of stuff, if that, and you're considering adding 125lbs to that.

If you're concerned about the additional weight and hesitant to modify your suspension , you should consider an aluminum bumper. I *think* I remember Brian saying it weighs in around like 50 or 60 lbs.

    Edit: 47 lbs

I installed an ARB deluxe bumper on my 2009 regular cab. Add a leaf in the rear and 3rd gen TRD OR take offs on the front (supposedly 1" lift). Nothing aditional. If I could go back I would just add a front spacer but otherwise I don't notice the weight.

I recently installed the Shrockworks bumper on mine.

I just put the Bilstein 6112s with the spring kit.
On the lowest setting, it brought the front up 2". The truck is now level.
The ride is 100% better. Very smooth, no jarring etc.
