Pffft all of my OBD pins were suuuper loose from running a scanner in there all the time during my first flash. I held my breath, and held pressure on the mpvi2 to keep the connection during the former longer 4-5min flash period.

I have to look at my logs and I can give you an idea.
It makes great power but eats so much gas, hard to find a good balance with this engine..
I think I was getting 8-9 on the dunes and 13.5 just highway....

Man I wish @HPTuners could adjust the speedo for tire size. I’m gonna seriously get myself in trouble just thinking I’m doing the speed limit.

Just a high price to pay for something that just does that one thing. Though probably cheaper than the ticked I’d get thinking I was only going 5 over.

You need to start saving for a new axle.... that stock 8in elocker aint lasting long on 37s guaranteed. I forsee a snapped axle shaft at the spline where it enters the diff.

I bet the ring gear looses its teeth before an axle goes. I’ve seen it happen on 1st gens many times with 37’s and a supercharger.

Can this be changed in an official version of Techstream? 37" tire is about the limit of the stock axle. Depending on how you abuse it.

Folks who see the biggest improvements will be N/A folks who are heavily loaded expo-style rigs or folks who live in mountainous/hilly terrain.

The S/C folks aren't likely to see a whole lot of improvement as one of the faults of the TRD tune is correcting some of the part throttle lean conditions that are present. Fattening up the mixture to address that adversely affects economy as a vast majority of the S/C guys like to get into the throttle just enough to build some boost, especially with the smaller pulleys. When folks are developing 4-5psig at ~30% throttle it's difficult to keep fuel economy up. With that said though, correcting the overly rich high RPM/WOT fueling can and usually does offset the additional fuel used to compensate for the part throttle corrections.

Depending on how the S/C's are driven will determine how much/if any fuel economy gains can be realized.

If anything you can always just memorize a few of the speed conversions if you dont want to do quick math. With your rate you are at 25% more than actual. Based off my truck Im at 20% which is partially due to the hypertech I have in mine...tried about ten different times to play with it and it just never seemed to work right with my 35s though.

20 percent isnt hard for me to figure out though in terms of quick math and my golden rule of thumb is to not exceed 70 on the fast highways around here.

Man, I’m so deep into this hole that I didn’t even flinch at the price. I got it so my wife wouldn’t complain about the speed gap. Lots of tickets avoided, lol.

Oh I’m deep in the hole lol and wouldn’t flinch at that price for other things. But that price for something that doesn’t help performance or suspension is what gets me.

Anyone have insight to this? I’d pay a dealer a little bit to get it done for sure.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.

With the hyper tech you have to ignore the hearing boxes and leave them stock. Based upon where your speed gets measured inputting gearing just screws up the formula. On final thing, when you input you stock tire and new tire size then “write” the adjusted offset, DO NOT check it again. This for some reason defaults the formula back stock although it won’t tell you that and show you the offset you just input. It was a bit maddening for awhile but all good now. Don’t use the numbers on the tires either and double check with a GPS.

I will have to try this down the road when I find my hypertech CD again. I have tried omitting the gearing completely, using actual tire size heights instead of tire sizes. Maybe checking the box thing was the culprit, but I remember going through all the motions with the hypertech guy back in the day.
