I don't even think we've had to replace a Tacoma headlight thus far, so likely just small issues with the truck side, wiring questions, etc.

Trs ships them insured of course
But the claim process with ups is a pain and I'm assuming trs won't send replacements until ups completes the claim. I've delt with ups claims previously and what a PITA. They like to find any excuse not to pay

A little update on the high beam. After several nights of adjusting and being questioned by the plaza security patrol, I finally found a sweet spot and it's actually not that bad. Basically, don't get greedy with high beam height adjustment. It's like shining your flashlight out in the distance and point them out too high; they cease to exist.

So as of tonight major issue with the headlights...drls will not run with headlights on but will run if you just have drls running...very upset! Tinkered with them...checked fuse under the hood...but again work with no headlights but not with headlights

Both sides are doing the exact same thing, and it happened at the exact same time? Doesn’t sound like a defective light.

Unplug one of the two from the DRL harness. Completely disconnect one assembly. Try both sides independently. It’s a common mode issue so you’ll have to isolate it.

I took my super super sweet time. 2-3 hours.
    * Taped up everything from fender to headlight housing(old one and new one). Prevent scratch.
    * Careful not to crack the end of the headlights.
    * take your time on separating the fender flare from the bumper. Those three plastic tab attached to the fender are flimsy. Very easily bent and break.
    * If you already have the headlights with LED DRL, you life is pretty much plug n play. No need to tap anything to the fuse box. Otherwise can't help u there cause I didn't have to do any of that.

Do you have a non DRL truck? Did you install the supplemental wiring harness? (AssumIng SR5 or lower)

Ruh roh... I'd start by checking your fuses then. It's odd that both lights would cough out at the same time. Next test: plug your old light in and see if it lights up normally.

@TRSAndrew So I adjusted mine til 3 full turns however, it looks like the right beam is a bit lower than the left beam. Instructions say to not go past 3 turns counter-clockwise/clockwise so I stopped. What say ye?

My question is that if it’s a fuse which I checked and was fine (changed it anyways) why does it still light up when I put drl only on...but won’t light with heaflights

So ordered mine the day I bought my truck (mid-august). I received mine two weeks ago. Install took maybe 2-3 hours, I also installed the XB foglights and wired/dremeled in a couple marker lights. I was super careful not to destroy any tabs. Unfortunately, i missed the upper fender and it slightly scratched against the headlight (sad I know).

Couple things that are kinda annoying.

    1. I basically lost functionality of my DRL and Parking Light stalk positions. I’ve read you’re not suppose to leave the ambers on constantly and these positions do so. I would have liked to have had the DRLS on in this position, but guess the wiring of the truck as it’s setup doesn’t allow for it. Something I would probably look i to modifying at a later date.

    2. Adjusting these headlight is not for the inexperienced (like me). I finally got them to somewhere reasonable, will probably adjust again. They’re bright, but honestly wouldn’t mind them to be a bit brighter for being LEDs.

    3. The biggest concern I have with them, and is something I reached out to support about is that my DRLs will randomly come on when the truck is off or has been sitting off for awhile. The DRLs will flip on randomly (verified the stalk is in “Off” position with foglights off and high beams off) and stay on until I head outside and turn the truck on and off. It’s happened more than a couple times now, a couple of those times they did turn off on their own after about 15 minutes. I have the fuse tap placed in the exact same location as shown in the install guide. When I reached out to support I got a somewhat frustrating and rather depressing answer... not going to quote it here, but to summarize they basically told me to look for a different fuse source. I would have thought that spending $1250+ on headlights would have at least given me a better customer support response, better than basically look for yourself.

So ultimately, these are badass lights, they’re plug and play... for the most part with a lil bit of hide n seek built in. Would I buy them again? Yes, they’re unique and i’ve gotten a lot of compliments on them.

Sounds more like something isn’t wired correctly. I ran into this when I was setting up my lights, just had to move around a couple wires, I don’t remember which ones exactly, but in the end I got mine functioning.

Sounds like a more of a wiring issue than headlights. Could be a defect in the wire harness as well. This is a new issue I've heard of. I think maybe if you unplug everything and go over the wiring again. It could be an issue with the wire tap as well

@Fern19 that's a first I've heard of as well as the DRLS shouldnt come on when the truck is off. Which fuse does the install instructions say to put the tap in?
