I've seen lots of threads on here about a "click" noise under suspension compression, and figured I'd share the fix

It bugged me for a while and I finally went in and talked to the techs about it.

Mine happened generally when hitting off camber bumps such as driveway entries or speed bumps at an angle.

There are these little plastic nipples that separate your leaf springs. From the factory they come as hard plastic, and if you go to Toyota they'll replace them with a soft rubber version for free. It took about an hour and solved my problem.

This manifested as more of a squeak for me, but yes, Toyota replaced for no charge and it fixed the issue. The clicks and cracks I hear from the front end are entirely different though. I think you may get some traffic in this thread from that. I've had third party shops tell me the cracks in the front are from the rack and pinion but Toyota has only decided to fuck with me on that.

Rarely I get a click from the front, but this fix took care of probably 80% of the clicking noises I was hearing. I've heard it could be the brake pads shifting, etc, but no one really knows apparently. My cab mounts are good, so it isn't that.

There's a LOT more stuff that can click up front.
