Hope it's nothing serious Matt. Hopefully a little physical therapy can get it worked out.

Bleh. The clunk in the steering has gotten worse since AOAA. I can't find anything on quick visual that looks broken, going to have to start looking at different upper control arms, I'm kinda disappointed in how long the uni-balls lasted. I believe those account for the squeeks, but not the clunk if that makes sense, its really noticible during slow speed turns, it may be there for high speed just can't hear it. Suggestions? Recommendations? Most of the stuff I found on TW already pointed towards the steering rack (which I recently replaced with @TOYTONKA ) but they've all removed the videos of their clunks, and some say its the steering coloum others say the rack. :annoyed:

What shocks are you running? I've had the rubber bushings on the top hat go so bad the whole thing moves independent of the truck.

Old man Emu's 886's I took a look at the top hats which look fine, after reading a whole other thread trying to diagnose it..

I'm down for that, are you around this weekend perhaps? I gotta get a hold of Dennis to see if I can swing up and do an oil change.

I checked them, they look fine too...

So I use to have this single heavy clunk in the front end when turning out of a parking spot, but it was just once. Now it sounds like 4 to 5, like something is slipping over grooves, think, stripped screw and bolt but louder? Does not matter which way I am turning either.

Ball joints, tie rods, LCA bushings, anything else that moves?

Look for wihtness marks and check for play both on the ground and in the air.
