Got antsy this evening, found some rock lights I had laying around. Ran some wire up through the hood, pop riveted the lights in there. Put a waterproof toggle switch down near the axillary fuse box bar I made. There is a reset-able 100A breaker for the aux fusebox. worked out great

 

Kinda a bad question, but what should the gaps be? I may need to look into this!

My exhaust hangover has been rattling against my skid plate because I smashed my muffler and tweaked all the piping a little bit. So I took my grinder to that spot to take a few millimeters of steel away & then I bent my exhaust hangers to also make a little more room. Then I replaced my blown out OEM crossmember bolts with some grade 8 ones I picked up a while back. Ready for trails tomorrow. It’s been too long!

 

I can turn it of or flip to front camera. I usually have it on as it's my mirror.

Bought this today after my Access Cab got totalled Saturday morning

That truck has clearly already been on 35’s or larger and is begging you to get it back to its former glory

 

Installed a remote breather for the rear differential. Ran breather behind driver side brake light assembly. Had tubing leftover from a moto rebuild. So... why not!

Greased slip joints. Used method where you drop the carrier bearing. Like that less has to come apart and carrier bearing bolts are anti-seized. Did not like the extra stress on the u-joint needles. Will try disconnecting at pumpkin next time.

Few weeks back, installed dual USB charger off eBay into passenger side heated seat control blank. Not a big fan of always on LEDs. Thus I pried off faceplate. Applied double coat of

$11 Gardner Bender LTB-400 Liquid Electrical Tape, Easy-on, Waterproof, Indoor/Outdoor Use, 4 Oz. Jar, Black

liquid electrical tape. Now only a little escapes when the covers are open.





And of course, the basics post purchase:
* oil & OEM filter
* OEM air filter
* cabin air filter
* greased zerks front and back (removed exhaust shield to anti-seize).

Next up:
* Install high lift hood struts from Spiker Engineering.
* Remove tow hitch to clean up and paint

 

Maybe if i get another good tax return next year!

So I installed an always on USB port the other day too...but I didn't like that the LEDs were on constantly. I doubt they will pull enough juice to do any damage or drain the battery anything significant so I removed the positive wire from the battery. I figured I would add a switch so that it is only truly "on" when I have it activated. That would still give me the ability to charge something when the truck is off.

Seriously though....it definitely has. Post in your local sub and see if you can determine the previous owner.

 

Got a couple little things done this morning

Husky liners I got at 20% off through home Depot.

ATHFab bed stiffeners freshly painted and installed, ready to protect my bedsides when my rack goes on and roam vagabond v4 gets delivered. Also can be used to open beers. Apologies for the shit lighting.


Grabbed a pro faceplate from customcargrills.com to add a little something to the raptor style eBay special.

All in all a good way to start my three day weekend! I gotta say ATHFab shipping was quick, they had my shipping label printed within twenty minutes of placing my order; and customcargrills.com had the faceplate to my house the very next day (same state, but still has me wondering if they drove to my house to drop it off lol).

Went with on-with-ignition by using Driver side Rear Power Window fuse slot via add-a-fuse.

With a good majority of time spent going alone, always paranoid about electrical leaks. Once I tackle my add a spare battery and fuse box project, I'll go always on.

That's why I want the switch. I don't want the LEDs pulling power (even though I know they are minimal). I also don't want blue lights on ALL THE TIME...especially when everything else is orange...so for now, my "switch" is connecting/disconnecting at the battery. Maybe I'll get around to installing my blue sea fuse block this weekend and can just use the fuse for it.
