    It's complicated.
RCI has a group-buy going on right now. In the interest of full disclosure, perhaps that thread needs to be alerted to this thread.

Someone let RCI know that they need to stop misleading customers, while hiding company secrets and making worthless product.

    This guy makes me laugh.

Sorry, but when I drop off a rock and into the unprotected area of the body the only person laughing will be RCI.

I have the Cali-Raised on my access cab .. they aren't tire to tire either. I wish they had another 4" on each end.

    It's complicated.
How much travel space is needed, particularly with the larger diameter tires that the off-roaders are running?

My tire-to-tire spacing is 112" but I'm running stock tires.
Using that photo, if your sliders were 7" inches longer, wouldn't they interfere with the travel of the suspension and larger tires, when off-roading?

I agree but the vendor must provide the data, is it DOM or HREW, what grade steel or aluminum, are they welded or bolted, what is their weights and yes include dimensions. I don't think RCI mislead the consumer in anyway but I dont think a phone call needs to be made to every single vendor to figure out this information.

Again this is why so many vendors go under, they can make a a product but very few can actually run a business and its small things like this that cause them to lose customers.

A phone call would have resolved much of this but like many others its a complete hassle at times because vendors such as this do not respond to communication and I know for a fact RCI is pretty bad about communicating with customers. My friend had to reach out to them multiple times on his slider order and received ZERO communication back, they billed him and then ghosted him until they were done. So no, its not as simple as a phone call.

Consumers can't make educated decisions when the vendor or manufacturer doesnt post specs and doesnt respond to communication attempts. I'm not saying they wouldn't have responded to OP or others but it's not entirely the OP's fault.

In hindsight these are all red flags and RCI likely lost a few potential customers from it.

At least your sliders aren't this short. Kidding. Some of you need to laugh and lighten up a bit.

Of course I did research. Who knew there are people selling partial rock sliders though?

I hear you, specs / data is very important. I also think that measurements should have been listed. Since they were not available, any rational person would NOT have ordered. A rational person would have waited to obtain information that is crucial to them.

I also hear you in regards to how much of a pain it can be to reach a company. If that is the case with RCI, then shame on them. If I tried to get in touch with them and got no response, no way in hell I would order from them.

I disagree with you in that this is OP’s fault. He ordered a product, which he had not researched. Put it on his vehicle before ensuring satisfaction upon delivery. No one forced him. No one misinformed him. No way around that, Joe.

OP might very well be a really nice guy, but he failed himself.

It is YOUR responsibility as a consumer, to be educated on your purchase.

FWIW. I have no invested interest in RCI. Don’t have their products. I’m just an outside observer. Looking at the facts as objectively as possible without any emotional bias.

It's not a partial rock slider though, you just seem bitter because you didn't thoroughly vet the product.

Did you call RCI and ask for the dimensions? If so, what did they say?
