Thank you, that’s great news! I will be getting re-geared to 4.88 next month and mounting the spare was my only hold up.

I run mine in the stock location. Had to trim the little ear tabs off. Oh and I chopped my exhaust... don’t know if that matters or not.

Another Wisconsin winter is coming my way. Glad these 295/75/16 BFG KO2s do so well in the snow.

Those definitely make a difference in fitment. I’m thinking of (continuing to)hammer the tabs and add a ratcheting strap for snug-insurance and also a lock. When I test-fitted it last year after hammering the tabs a bit, it came in contact with the hitch and extremely close to the exhaust.

Looks like you’re running a wheel with a positive offset..did you require cmc for this tire? I have the trd beadlocks that have a +10 offset and I’m looking at getting this tire size. Thanks man.

Those are Konig Countersteer Offroad’s in 16x8, 0 offset and 4.5 BS. I did CMC to clear full flex and a touch of plastics trimming up front.

Nice. Well I’m hoping that the positive offset on the trd wheels works out without needing to cmc for city driving. Thanks for the insight.

Postive offset and you’re gonna rub on the uca.

Well that’s what I figured but there’s a thread on here with plenty of guys saying that there was no rub on uca with that wheel/tore combo

I’ve got the total chaos UCAs and I don’t come close to rub with 265/75r16 on the stock TRD OR wheels (+25mm offset). So if I’m pushing the wheel out 0.6” (15mm) to a +10 offset with the TRD beadlock wheels and increasing the wheel width by roughly the same distance in each direction(295s will be just over an inch wider than 265s, split that in half to give the width increase in either direction), they should cancel each other out, leading to roughly the same position I am at now with my current wheel/tire combo. Right?

That’s the math that I would do and it looks like it’ll fit, but Everyone i know who has tried to run 285’s on stock wheels rubs the uca on street driving. Off road it gets even worse. So 295’s don’t give me any confidence to suggest they’ll fit, even with the relatively modest +10mm of the TRD beadlocks.

But there’s really only one way to find out.

Edit: Your tc uca’s May be the difference maker.

Well I hope so. They’re going on tomorrow. Hopefully I can drive the truck home from the shop without doing any irreparable damage to anything. I’m already geared up for the cmc and trimming, I just don’t have the chop yet. Honestly, I could care less about trimming fenders/fender liners..those things can be replaced with the click of a button, but I just need to make it work until I can get the chop done!

Testing out the trimming and CMC today.

How are you all trimming the front inner fender well? I keep rubbing in reverse on that protrusion.

Damn. You’re a gamblin man. Get that chop done it’s really not hard. A grinder gets it done. A plasma cutter makes it faster. A welder can be secured at any time after the fact. Duct tape is an effective cover of the hole for the short term.

I need to. I plan to, but I haven’t let anybody touch this truck, yet. The tire shop will be the first and only hands on the truck other than my own since I purchased this year. I need to find a quality shop in SoCal that will handle it for me.
