I'm running Auxbeams on my 6x6 Ranger. No issues with them. Had em a couple years now.

I have rigid pods as ditch lights and they're nice and bright. Spot beam though

i'm still hesitant to do ditch lights...i dont know why entirely, but i just dont like the idea of being able to see them from the driver's seat. Super picky, I know, but its just me...

Yeah, it honestly was weird at first. But i got used to it and don't even notice them anymore. Kinda like when I first tinted my windows/ rear windshield. First time driving at night I felt like I couldn't see shit backing out of my brother's driveway, even with my upgraded reverse lights, but I'm totally used to it now

Got the alternator, AC idler pulley, and Maf replaced last night.

Had to buy a harbor frieght 2 jaw puller to get the old pulley off @greengen1 you should let me fix yours for you.

Also, when pulling the old maf out, i realized it was from a junkyard....glad to have that replaced...even if for nothing more than piece of mind.

I even got my new ultragauge...installed it, and its frozen on me three times. Won’t boot up on engine start. So i guess i’ll call UG and see what they think. I’ve had 4 of these things now and this is the first one to act like this

Free beats cheap any day. Are they the spot or flood? I think the Sport or whatever the flood is, are not other driver friendly. Not a big deal as long as you only use them Offroad. Or when there's no police coming towards you.

I thought you meant light bars. Not fogs, or side shooters.

Rigid makes good stuff at reasonable prices.

I’m just being a dickhead, really.

I’m trying to decide...20-22” light bar in the bumper valance, or throw some flood pods in there and hack up the bottom portion of the grill to stick a light bar in there..

Well, if you're going with yellow fogs, put em' as low as possible. Fog lights are more effective lower.

Lights for trail use are the opposite. Higher mounted lights pointed downward are especially effective when cresting hills. Two light bars, one up top, on the roof and one mid way, behind the grill pointing straight out will be best. Add replacements to the headlights and you'll have all angles covered.

I'm not sure what to use for your year Runner but I'm sure the OEM bulbs can be improved upon. Even if you just go with a halogen. The OEM 3rd gen Tacoma bulbs sucked.

Tried silvania silverstar ultras in my buddy’s stock 4runner and they didnt last 6 months...so i plan to leave my halogens alone.

I already swapped the stock fogs to yellow LEDs and they suck. 20+ year old tech, go figure.

I prefer yellow as i will be driving this vehicle all winter, in snow and low light conditions. Yellow works best for my eyes and i’ve become used to it.

Roof light bar is completely out of the question for this vehicle...not drilling the roof.

Well if I recall correctly you didnt want to mess with changing the brackets.
Weren’t they bottom mounted instead of side..
Idk maybe I’m thinking of someone else if that’s the case
    Then I’m a shit talker :D

I have been through 3 light bars.

The one you speak of was a SeaToughLED, i made custom mounts for. Didn’t like it. Sold it to my boy @tacobell007 <3

Bought a super junk chinese one on Amazon. Put yellow laminx on it and it would project green light. Sprayed it off with the pressure washer right before taking pics to sell it and it got water behind the lense. So i sent it back for a full refund.

Then i bought the one i have in my truck now, which is a Totron LED that has a 20% tint on it. I bought it from my buddy Tony in WV. Its been fantastic. Only paid $125 for it.
