Is there anyone in the Redding/Red Bluff CA area that would allow me to put their 285/75/16 or 305/70R16 tires/wheels on for a few minutes so I can see what they will rub? I was planning on a CMC but I really don't want to just in case I ever sell the truck. I have aftermarket UCAs with 4 degrees of caster so I should be good but I don't want to buy the tires and find out later...

If so, it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You have aftermarket suspension and you think they're going to care about a CMC? Do a decent job on the CMC and it's unlikely anyone will notice when you go to sell.

    Do it.

you are going to rub. save yourself the time and just do the cmc. you will also need to hammer the pinch weld and cut a chunk out of your lower fender well.
this is all assuming your not just on the highway all day.
i had a 3 inch lift, jba ucas when i put my 33s on and they could barely turn my truck out of the garage.

Yeah I figured as much. I've already trimmed a lot of plastics for my 32s, just don't know if I want to cut the frame yet since that isn't reversible.

i hear you. try and get a pro do it right and you will have no issue. it can be boxed in which makes it just as strong as before and looks very clean. usually a cheap/short job for a skilled tradesman.

I agree with what others are saying. Best to just do the cmc if you plan on going 285s. If done well then no ones the wiser. I do a lot of them and have it down to 1.5 hours.
