    I have 285/17s so I'd believe 255 doesn't touch.

Hey OP, I found this thread through a google search and was hoping you could tell me how cutting that exhaust has been with that 33 inch spare. Any issues? The exhaust fumes haven't gotten too hot for the tire there?

I just dropped my stock spare tonight and hammered back those guiding tabs. Only thing left in the way before I put a 285 under there is the exhaust. Not sure if I want to cut it where you did, or if I should try to hammer the exhaust hangar bracket a couple inches over. I'm worried if I cut the exhaust it can melt the tire blowing right on it.

Wow, that feels like ages ago... No worries about melting tires now :D

But, to answer your question, I never had any issues with the tire getting too hot. Although, I didn’t run it like that for very long.

Hah. Back when trucks looked stock and we worried about strange noises.
