So far so good. 3" Toytec lift.

Haven't been wheeling yet. I've still got to get an alignment done (tomorrow).

Oh hell yeah! That looks like a pretty fun trail.

It's that time of year when we can get out and not have to drive 100 miles to escape the heat.

    Started "Operation: No Switch Blanks".

My power outlet and storage box came in from eBay for my inverter install.
Bought oil for my oil change tomorrow, unsure on what else I might do.

I’ve seen people say they’ve run them on stock suspension but it seems like they’d be stuffed in pretty bad without a lift

Yeah, with 255/85/16 they are 33" tires proper. I can't speak for what it would be like without a lift but my guess is probably some rubbing would be involved.

What I need to do now is a rear suspension upgrade.
Really wish I had the time/skills to do the "Chevy 63" leafs mod. Looks like the benefits offroad would be amazing.

Most likely will end up with Dakars since I'm running AAL + .25" blocks since I got my whole lift kit 3 years ago which will definitely be an improvement.

dakars+hammer hangers+poly bushings in oem shackle. That will get you a shit load of flex and be wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy easier than a 63 swap. That's my set up, and have assisted in a 63 swap. Never again.

Then of course a rear shock relocate to take advantage of the flex.

I spent the money on the extension and it's been great. I found that they would not fit a 2nd gen Tacoma bottle jack but they fit perfectly with a 4Runner bottle jack.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I'm not a welder, fabricator or even really that handy mechanically.
I'll have my buddy who does all the work on my rig handle the swap to the dakars. Will be doing the shackle flip too. What I'll pay him to do on one of his lifts will more than pay for the blood, sweat and probably tears if I even tried half the shit that goes into a 63 swap. I like mods that don't make me question my sanity.

I also vote for Dakar pack & long shocks (and of course Hammer hangers and shock relocation and poly leaf bushings. I haven’t installed my Hammer hangers yet but my Dakar pack and b110 flex great for what they are. Oh yeah - once you start actually flexing your Dakar’s you’ll have to trim the end of the second leaf. It will catch the hanger. I have 2 videos from my wheeling this morning where you can hear this happen.

Just put on a set of Cooper Evolutions, got out of the tire store for under $600!

My friend is the manager of the store, he convinced me for what I did that they would be as good as the Pirelli Scorpions that I was going to buy and would save me some cash.
