Bluetooth during calls always drops

Hi,

2017 SR5. Recently started having an issue where my bluetooth will drop during a call. Sometimes, it will hang up the call, others it will transfer audio to the earpiece. It's becoming increasingly frustrating because I make a lot of phone calls with contractors on my way into and coming home from work, and I always have to have them repeat everything. Sometimes the radio crashes entirely and has to reboot. Wife is starting to get annoyed, too

Phone is an iPhone XS Max. Has anyone had this issue, and if so how did you fix it? Can I do a factory reset on the radio unit? It doesn't happen in my Hyundai so I assume it's a Toyota issue.

Reset your radio and try to unpair and pair your phone. Should work .

 

Reset as in reboot, or an actual "hard" reset? If the latter, how do I do that? As far as unpairing and pairing, I've done that a bunch.
