    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

The very first song I heard in concert was Chris Cornell's voice.

    Soundgarden - Rusty Cage

That was back in 1989 at Day on the Green at Oakland Coliseum. When we got our tickets and Soundgarden was the opener we didn't even know who the hell they were. After that concert, they quickly became one of my favorite bands.

That was Soundgarden, Faith No More, Queensryche and Metallica. Me and 2 of my buddies went to the concert... all 3 of us were bearly 16 at the time.

I doubt where they're going is gonna be anything like a real prison. Probably just some super nice private rehab on the beach in Malibu or something.

Typical dealer behavior. They will all lie, cheat, and/or steal. Isn't the plain old 'honest' mark up enough for them? Isn't service charged at 110 an hour enough for them? Vampire leeches :violent:

i think that price is a bargain?? ... its usually near $45 or so without a coupon that I have never ever paid that much unless it was in some built package in the way way back

i definitely could not do it for less than that
but it often takes them at least an hour to get done
and then the shop material fees, etc

    4 run, 2 don't
They're mining their customer base; small loss leader to get you through the door and once your vehicle is there, attempt to address other services for additional customer pay work.

It costs money to get a customer through the door.

    Business 101; return on investment.

I got the "youre way overdue for an oil change, come in soon" reminder this past week. I will admit I do get a dealer oil change every now and then but for the most part I do them myself. Although now that the frame warranty is up, I have absolutely no reason to bring my truck to the dealer anymore so I will be going to an independent place owned by a former Toyota tech.

I will always wear it when plasma cutting though. The smell those things put off irritates my nose if I dont. Kinda gives a headache too. However, torch cutting doesnt bug me.

No rush, I actually ordered one from NAPA who advertises it as 555. At this point it’s more of curiosity so no rush. I’m just curious what the deal is with them. I noticed the bright colorful DuraLast box has the off brand, and the plain white DuraLast box has the 555.

The one I liked the most was,

"Sir, your spark plugs and belts are overdue to be changed... The service tech noted it when he performed our complimentary 21 point inspection"

Response: "Weird. I personally just changed them last week..."
