I measured the all-pro ones that I have and they're 89.5", they don't go all the way to either end.
.....and yea I didn't step back far enough to get a square view!

OP, are you going to remove the RCI sliders and getting different ones?

It was implied by RCI that these were exactly what you wanted?

The picture you posted of your landcruiser shows a pretty big gap at the front, though it definitely is tighter at the back. Maybe there's a good reason RCI made them the way they did, have you considered asking them that?

And finally, I ask you this. Had there been an explicit, front and center length measurement where you purchased them, would you have gone out to your truck with a tape measure to see where they would reach? Be honest.

Let me back up a little bit and give you a little insight on myself.

I work for neurosurgeons providing x-ray imaging intra-operatively. They rely on me lining up the end plates and the pedicles so they can drive a large screw through them and not through the spinal cord or nerves. Leaving the patient in a much worse condition to say the least. I’m a perfectionist. I most definitely would have measured and compared the dimensions.

The “good” reason RCI gave me for their choice of slider length was solely based on cheaper shipping.

How do you know they're worthless when you just installed them and haven't even offroaded with them? Let's see the damage to your truck that have rendered your sliders useless. Wait, you're just assuming now. Don't knock it, til you try it.

I’m bookmarking this thread as yet another reason why fabrication shops have it rough in today’s off road social climate. The new off road enthusiast doesn’t know what the fuck he/she is talking about, sees a problem where there isn’t one, and then complains about it. If a person wanted sliders molded to their truck like a skin, there would be no fucking 15% off, And they sure as shit wouldn’t be less than a 1000 bucks. If your regular ham and egger thinks he knows better, have him do it hisself.

Those sliders will protect. If OP is worried about that little bit of unprotected gap, go take up fully padded rollerblading and sell your tacoma.

77” long sliders from RCI is quite different than 86” and 89.5” offered by other manufacturers.

I bought these specifically to jump parking barriers at my local strip mall and now I’m worried I might’ve made a mistake. I shoulda measured?!

Ok, the fact they made it on your truck before you realized this issue makes me question that but that's neither here nor there.

Here's where we are, you spent $1000 on these assuming they would meet your expectations but this was not the case. You reached out and the manufacturers reason for their length was unsatisfactory.

What are you looking for here? If it's to make others aware that perhaps these sliders aren't as long as others you've done that. If in your mind that makes them worthless then you should return them, but expect to eat the shipping costs.
