If the engine and frame are in good shape, that’s a pretty damn good deal

It's a Prerunner and the owner thinks it's Front Wheel Drive.

It says prerunner so I’m going to guess they didn’t just put that badge on there. It still seems like a good deal if the frame looks clean, the engine and transmission are in good shape, and you are ok with a RWD truck.

You can get the off road package on a prerunner (6 lug 2wd), which is what this appears to be

Either way, a TRD package with 70k and only $12000 is a pretty good deal. My 05 sr5 ext cab 4x4 was listed at 14k. I got it cheaper luckily. None the less, if the engine trans and chassis are in good shape that’s a good deal. Hell in the same lot as my truck they had an 06 trd off road 4 door with 170k miles for 16k.

I guess what I’m saying is, that’s a pretty low price for only having 70k on the odometer, and being a TRD

As above, its a 2wd so if you do not get snow and don't go off road and need 4wd then nice but of course you need to really look at it as ads do not tell the whole story.

Found a link that tells the diffs on prerunner below:

Meh, it's priced ok. Just a 2WD AC prerunner with low miles. Good buy if there's no significant undercarriage rust.

No, fwd means front-wheel drive on that site. it's a drop down menu where you can also select 4x4, rwd, etc. I think it defaults to fwd, so the seller must have overlooked that menu, was to lazy to change it, or more likely assumed fwd meant four-wheel drive like you did and moved on.

OR, the seller slapped a Taco body and suspension on a Camry frame and drive train. Need a build thread for that one!
