Hmm, If yall want I can poke around in my pretty new version of techstream and see if tire size changes can be made. Techstream, does have access to the ABS controller where vehicle speed is calculated so it just might!

EDIT - Also.... for those playing with auto trans tuning.... raising DS rpm max speed in 1st gear by 100rpm output is essentially the limit on an NA cal with 5600rpm rev limit.... Talk about a bang shift this morning it was timed perfectly, rev limit hit just once just as shift took place making for uuuber crisp shift. Not something i want to continue to do though, gonna have to back that down.

Can not modify anything with techstream, only updates and reading and commanding some sensors/pumps kind of thing.

I dunno. I was able to rewrite my vin # via techstream, you can turn on or off seatbelt chime, do zero point calibration etc... It's pretty powerful. Tire size I dunno I'll have to see

There's a way to disable it using ignition and odometer button, at least on older tacos (did it on an 08). Used my bullydog to disable on my current one and it stuck the setting through ovtune and Hptuners. Heard of people just pulling the sensor plug under the seat too, but don't know if there's effects from that.

One of the first things I did to both trucks.

That’s actually how I found tacomaworld back when I had my 09 reg cab. Doesn’t work on my 14 tho. I may have to unbox my bullydog just to disable that annoying beeper.

I remember the BD flash feeling very confusing and having no confirmation if it stuck the tune when I flashed it. The gauge has worked through the ov and hp flashes and still allows me to read and clear DTCs. And it gives me some real time info. It would probably clear the seatbelt code.

I just asked my dealer during one of the last paid maintenance drop offs to disable it.

ya, the dealer is required to do it at no charge. fun fact: they are also required to give you a free seat belt extender if you're large enough that the seat belt won't wrap around you. some people just click in the seat belt extender to turn the chime of.

They're required? They told me they couldn't because it was a safety feature.

It is probably more litigiously worded to be at no charge if the customer has a qualified and documented medical condition preventing use of the seatbelt. I guess I just got lucky but they were cool about it when I asked.

I’m sure they could be sued for anything but this world has gotten crazy.

For those of you who have been able to disable the seat belt chime was it also disabled when your doors are open with your keys in the ignition? Sometimes you may have your doors open with the key forward on the 1st notch & the "ding" will go off until you close the doors or move the key all the way forward. Why not just remove the thing all together? Super easy.

Great tip! Good knowing where that pesky bugger is. I have to admit, though, I've never owned a vehicle with a foot operated e-brake until my 2nd gen (this may sound silly but that was almost reason enough for me to consider jumping from 1st gen to a 3rd gen and skipping the 2nds altogether). Because of that, I also have to admit I like the chime for the times I forget I leave the e-brake on.:frusty:

At 1015 am Central today, I joined the HPT club. Just got back from a 30 minute cruise... all I can say is DAAAAANG! Huge props to @JustDSM and @nd4spdbh for all the work they have done here. My truck has transformed yet again.
