Yah, we basically moved for the school district. I like new castle, but the schools are still renton school district. I really like that neighborhood I was in too.

Half of Newcastle is Renton Schools (shit), the other half is Issaquah (excellent). Live out near me (unincorporated King/Renton), or on the right side of the line in Newcastle, and you'd be in Issaquah Schools too. The trouble where I live (unincorporated King Co) is the ass-raping on property taxes. My same house value in the city of Renton, Newcastle, or even Bellevue would be thousands per year less.....

I used to live in unincorporated king county in renton too. But I was in the kent school district. East renton highlands is issaquah school district, but it's liberty highschool, which isn't really an issaquah school lol. Property tax is actually a lot higher out here in MV than in Renton, but we have all the levies and stuff because of the school district. I don't pay the high tabs or the light rail tax anymore but still get raped on property tax lol.

Maybe that was true a some time ago, but not currently. US News ranks Liberty higher than all the other ISD High Schools (#31 in the state). Other rankings have Issaquah #12, Skyline #13 and Liberty #15 in the state. I have a Junior there this year, and my other daughter will be a Freshman there next year. Parents from the other high schools are irritated with our 8 period schedule which allows for way more electives and class choices.

    Watched a few videos....

    1) People go into things so unprepared. So many of those recoveries really arent anything complex.
    2) People who say Dude and Bro get stuck a lot.
    3) Having even some basic recovery items would have saved a ton of those people

Yep, Liberty HS is one of the top ISD High Schools (surprisingly) and there is a 50/50 ISD/RSD.

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
I was looking for a different post, but ran across this instead.

You can download the recreation map for the tree farm here https://sqrecreation.com/snoqualmie/about/vicinity-map/vicinity-map. Click on the vicinity map link. It should be geo-referenced to work with an app such as Avenza (PDF maps). Avenza has a couple of different levels, but the free version lets you download up to three maps. This map is still a little outdated but it should give you an idea of where you are. I've heard a slightly better one is in the works, but it's probably going to be a while before it's out.

Good information. I'm sure schools will change as the demographics of the areas change. I was told this by a colleague of mine who lives in Klahanie, who is a pharmacist and her husband is a physician as well. I'm sure they're pretty defensive of their hoity toity area.

Well shit, good to know. I still haven't gotten one from my boss. I kinda forgot. Yeah I talked with Eric one of their foresters and he is working on updating their road system database so it is a lot more accurate regarding road numbers and the status of each road open/abandoned.

It's been updated to say that there are multiple spin outs and vehicles blocking the road.

Denny creek road is still open... :anonymous:

We just about went for it too. Lowbed driver said to run ahead of him and let him know where the good part of the road is so he could just bomb up there without chains. But they closed it.

I’m in the Tri-Cities right now, drove over yesterday late afternoon.

Daughter convinced me to take her car (BMW 320i xdrive) for the trip instead of the truck.
    :annoyed:

The pass forecast looks fine they said.....o_O

Snow level should be well above pass level they said...
