really? Harbor freight might just put some brands off the map if they keep up their work

I was all decided on a Husky box, had been for weeks and had even gone into HD a few times to look at everything multiple times.

Then I saw a random YouTube video comparing the Husky box to a US General Series 2. I went to HF the next day, then to Home Depot. The Husky box had zero appeal after that.

You get a lot of space for the money with the Husky stuff but if you compare the two, you’ll notice the stuff where the costs were cut. I bought a 44” Harbor Freight and I have zero complaints, except that I should’ve got the 56”. Not because I need the extra space but mainly because they might make a hutch for the US General boxes and I don’t see them making one for the 44”.

HF boxes are more expensive than the Husky but worth it, IMO. The Husky is a fine box and there’s a lot of guys that have them without issues, so not disparaging that at all. Certain things may just appeal to you more, so take a look at both and see if you develop an interest in other options.

Yes, I'm sure you will find the HF is awesome for home use, I know some mechanics that even use them for professional use and have no problems.

Their new ICON line looks nice but the prices are like 5x more than the US General line. US General line is more than fine for home use, I've had zero complaints with my 56". When I move to a bigger house and garage, I will make my own workbench and allow me to get the top chest for the 56" since I use it kind of like a workbench right now.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Ive got 2 waterloo boxes and 1 HF box
id say the HF is equal quality to the waterloos for 1/3 the price. and i would recommend them to anyone that wants a nice garage box

now my snappy TUV at work? thats a monster. and my matcos? theres no comparison. but those are also ALOT more money.

Just bought the end locker for Blue. $217 OTD. I haven’t been in a HF for months, so it was nice to see some color matched accessories available now. Last time I was there, all you could get was red or black.

I was there yesterday and they had a lot more colors than I figured they would’ve had. Plus lockers and side add on boxes. A lot better than any homedepot or Lowe’s would have. Especially in stock

I think they’re a really solid value. No regrets at all, I have both add ons now - the end locker and the end cabinet. Only thing I don’t have is a top box which I’ll never have, I’m super happy with everything.

Except I should’ve went with the 56” box.

Holy shit Batman! That is an awesome price. I paid about $100 for a set a year or so ago. Granted they each had handles but these will work and less than $15. Everyone should be getting one of these sets! Nice find!

With 57 options I reckon I’ll have my bases covered and at that price it’s not painful to try them out.

I just got mine in after waiting and fighting with them for over two months and getting PayPal involved. Then I used them to find out how cheap they are made. All I will say is Good Luck!!!

Even though I have the nice, expensive set I did order a set of these, figuring they might have some that are slightly different. Or sometimes you need to "modify" one for a specific need, which ruins it. Paying $12 for the set I am not going to get upset if I need to tweak one for a specific purpose.

Anyone else have the problem of when you need 1 of something it ends up turning into collecting all sorts of them....

Yeah i needed a 0-1" outisde mic and a 1-2" mic for an engine rebuild. Which has some how turned into wanting to get 0-4" of Starret, Lufkin, and Brown and Sharpe. Plus a few random 0-1" ones. Its surprising how cheap you can pick these up by being patient.

Ended up with a few duplicated by buying "lots" though. Have a few B&S 1-2" ones now. Plus some duplicate 1-2" and 2-3" Lufkin one (in the boxes still)
