Anyone else notice there is no option for a 2wd Tacoma anymore on the Build your Own for the 2020's?

I called my local Toyota dealership to see how much it would cost to replace my front wheel bearings, just to replace the bearings and a couple of seals is $1600. I am not going there. I might try to do my own with the front hub assembly sold on here.
Anyone had good luck with anything from Lordco for hub bearing assemblies?

That’s highway robbery. I had to get a local guy do one front assembly and he charged me $500 I believe in total. If I didn’t have to go back up to work the next day I would’ve done it myself and with those full assembly kits it looks pretty simple honestly. I was told that an alignment was a good plan after though just as an FYI.

The Toyota garage says it’s 6 hours labour, and around 600 plus for the 2 bearings and seals.
I’m going to look into other options including trying it myself.

$1,600 is crazy for just bearing/seal replacement. There must be cheaper options...

A small private garage that specializes in toyota trucks said $1000, that’s not as painful.

That sounds more reasonable, although it's still a chunk of change.
