I prefer standard box over low profile look. just my option. here are some pics so u can compare low profile to regular box height. UWS vs kobalt for low profile. uws gets may vote but kobalt is shorter depth wise. hope this helps.

I've got the Kobalt low profile from Lowes, no complaints from me.

Yea I second the UWS low profile. It's f-in sick. especially in powdercoated black. I missed the storage of my old SUV, until I got the tool box. You can even mount shit to it, air horns under it, bike fork mounts on top of it, hi lift jack to the face of it, lights in it,.. whatever you want. Definitely worth the $250ish

I have had both a uws and kobalt for my truck...

UWS hands down. The kobalt i had was very thin and flimsy. It felt like anyone could lift up the lid and steal your stuff.

I just sold the kobalt box yesterday since I bought a roll up tonneau cover a couple weeks ago. If I get a truck next time the tonneau is what I am gonna get again.

I have a low profile duralast box from autozone and it is perfect. Tons of room, locks, and still have plenty of room in the bed.

Not really low profile as I originally wanted, but I like my factory Toyota box a lot- and the latch system in particular. It different than any other I've seen and works really well.
