I searched, so I appologize if I overlooked the obvious. If I did, please direct me to it and I will gladly edit the thread do close it down.

I'm looking to decide what I want to go with. I would REALLY like to see what I could attain through the different lift/wheel options.

    I'm basically looking at either:
    • 1.75" Billies with either TSB or 1.5 AAL (another ? for me) with 32"s
    • 3" Toytec Ultimate Lift or Billi's/Eibach with 33"s
I have the TRD Off Road, but I can certainly use my imagination if you've got 17" rims.

    Thanks in advance.

    Current posted setups:

    1.75" w/32s:
    Rajin'Cajun: 1.75" Billi's & TSB

    3" w/32s:
    tacosupreme54: Toytec 3" Spacer & 2" AAL

    3" w/33s:
    BirdTRD: 2.75" Billi's/Eibach & TSB w/ 1.5" AAL

That is a beautiful ride. Thats basically what i am doing with mine, I get home on wensday and I have billy 5100's set to 2.5" waiting and a 1.5" AAL for the TSB rear. I am have the TRD offroad 5 spokes and 285/75/16 Cooper STT's going on as well. DCSB TRD Sport so it should look close to the same... Again, great truck, will post my pics up in a week.

I keep seeing your sig and look for a link to your build. You're killin me, smalls!

Anyway, could you elaborate on your setup? I see you have a 3" lift in your vehicle description, but I'm curious what setup. Also, which size tires do you have? I know that it's typical to go with 33"s with a 3" lift, but not all do (i.e. this).

One more question, do you have any side shots. I love the artistic off-angle shots for showing off. But, I want to see what it's going to look like each day I leave the office to jump in my truck. The direct side shots never look as cool, of course, but it shows me the worst my truck will look.

And I know, Lifts are not just for looks, but it certainly doesn't hurt ;)

ha, yeah. i haven't got around to/or felt worthy to make a build thread yet. as far as the setup, it just says "Toytec 3" lift"...well, i'm kind of embarrassed of what i have. yes, it is a toytec 3" lift, but it's 3" spacers and 2" AAL's. it kind of makes me embarrassed bc most guys on here have a nicer setup than mine (new coils, billistens, icons, etc.). but honestly, i do not put my truck off of pavement unless need be. i see no need in ruining the vehicle that i make a hefty payment on every month. also, a lot of people on here have REALLY nice suspension setups and NEVER leave the pavement. if i had an old clunker that was a long time paid off, i wouldn't mind riding it on trails and beating it up. or, if i had plenty of money, of course i would have the nicest suspension setup i could get. with that being said, i made the practical choice of spacers and the AAL. besides dirt and gravel roads and a few other occasions, my truck is on pavement. i don't ever plan to ruin this truck, considering how much it costs. the spacers and AAL gave me the lift i needed, without as much capability as these nicer suspension setups. that's fine with me. if you just want the cosmetic look of a lift/bigger tires and are on a budget, spacers and AAL are cheaper and just fine. if you plan to offroad and have the money to do so, get a nicer setup. sorry to go into rant mode , but i'm done now.

as far as my tires, i have 265/75/16 goodyear wrangler duratracs. i would love to have 285's, and it's really killing me bc i know they will fit now that i have the lift. but these 265's were just put on right before i bought the truck, so i will just run these until they wear down, instead of spending $800 on a new set, when i have perfectly good tires. honestly, they look fine with the lift, but of course if i didn't have the new set of 265's already, i would have got the 285's in the first place.

and i included my side shot below. i hope that answered your questions.

Nothing to be ashamed/embarrassed about, AT ALL! If the spacer lift works for you, then it works. Plain and simple. Fact of the matter is, the more complex lifts cost a lot more. Unfortunately, we can't all just get all the mods we want without considering how it will all affect our pocket books. Sucks, but true.

Thanks for posting! I really appreciate it.

I've just updated the original post to contain sections for various setups. Ideally, we could obtain even more examples.

Honestly, I'd thought of doing one thread that cataloged all the color options and kept a sort of running list that people could just post a picture and I could update the first post each time. Not sure if that really makes a whole lot of sense or not, but it's a thought. It'd be a bit of work for me, but I think it helps a lot when you can see other individuals' rides and how yours could look.

Later went to 33" BFG Mud Terrains with the same lift setup.

Your ride looks BA! I have been using one of your grill shots as my screen saver for awhile now. People come to my desk and say, "is that your truck?". No...but it is awesome!

Awesome, do you happen to have any direct-side shots? Not a big deal if you don't, but I'm trying my best to catalog as many similar photos as possible. That shot seems to be the most reproducible among various members. Comparing similar photos helps me to see much better the differences.

    Thanks again for sharing.
