Yes, 2 weeks ago. The surgery didn't hurt, the massive swelling from the blood clot does.

He had been fishing with one of those jet powered fishing boats he had bought from another co-worker. He had tied the boat up to a rock at the boat ramp. He started to back the trailer down the ramp, and we believe he saw the boat had come untied and starting to drift. We think he tried to stop it and slipped on the slick ramp and probably hit his head. He didn’t show up for work that night. We called his wife who drove to the boat ramp and found his truck still running with the door open and the trailer barely in the water. The next day we found the boat, key was still on but had run out of gas and caught in some brush. Then we searched everyday for a week when we found him.

Yes, there was 4 of us in his own boat. We brought him back to the same ramp he was trying to load on.

My ride home from the clinic was in a Scion with a lowered suspension, that felt every. pothole. in. the. road.

Like I said, the first month was a bitch. I don't think I got swelling, they didn't look swollen, but they felt like they were red hot cantaloupes. The first six months felt a little weird. Life has been good after that though.
