    No deer this am. If I was squirrel hunting I would have been at war!

    So not sure about you guys but our year was super dry and acorns are scarce. That is what I’m thinking is really hurting the consistency around the spot I’ve been at. They are around but with only 8 acres to hunt since houses are around the deer can easily find better places for food etc. If we had acorns they would be there pretty much every sit. Oh well, I gonna keep trying when I get time. You just never know!

    My one stand has three big white oaks that were dropping last weekend. This morning in another stand the black oaks were dropping. Saw three, one big doe I couldn't get to stop, a 4 or 5 point with a heavy chocolate rack that I would have like to shot, but I just couldn't make out 3 points on one side. And another that was unidentified. Just a deer moving thru thick cover. Getting ready to head back out.

    This upcoming week sucks (for me) as far as hunting is concerned.
    Rain all day Mon, hunt Tues morning (then I have an apptmnt), work Wed, Thurs, go to visit my kid Fri, Sat, Sun. After that....it's party time.
