they probably did an axle swap for different gearing or a larger width to compensate with the front.

Can't forget tacobrumz's old one. Don't know if he's a member on here, but he was on CT. IIRC, he sold it and moved on.

It was sold a few times before it was shipped to Hawaii to the current owner.

Tacobrumz had a 2wd drive. He had 4.56 gears with ARB air locker on the back.

This is when I first plugged it in, nothing was calibrated. So 11.5 MPG is not correct.

stock except the wheels and tires.. still has plenty of potential

the 4 banger lack power when climbing significant grades in the mountains with 1200lbs pull weight but all it takes is a downshift or two

I agree - especially with the 3.31 rear gear in the 5-lugger. I just towed two bikes to/from the mountains with my 4-banger 5-speed 5-lugger this past weekend - one in the bed and one on a trailer - almost 600 miles round-trip. The little engine was working hard at times, but it did just fine. Fuel mileage dropped from the usual 26-ish to 19 MPG. Not bad considering a lot of that was 70-80 MPH on the interstate when we weren't in the mountains - and 4th (and occasionally 3rd) gear when pulling the big hills when we were. I wouldn't want to do that every day, but it's fine occasionally - and the other 99% of the time I'm getting 26+ MPG.

Crappy phone pic taken right before we headed out:
