It has many times. Read the stories on here. It did it to me 2x sensing an obstacle on the road side.

Also, it's also better to hit the deer in front of you than get rear ended by an 18 wheeler.

Also, suppose a cow crosses your path and the truck stops on the RR tracks with a train coming at 3 oclock?

Finally, try driving through a snow storm and keeping your sensor from getting blocked.

is this a 100% viable? Or is a visit to the dealer necessary? I haven't done a grille swap yet, just wanna make sure.

Where did you buy it? Did you have to provide a Vin#?

And I went from an sr5 grill to the pro grill with zero issues or malfunctions. Nothing had to recalibrate.

The sensor has to recalibrate. its annoying, but not a big deal. No dealer visit necessary

Mine did NOT have to recalibrate or if it did I didn't notice. I drove mine on the interstate right after swapping grilles and it did perfect.

Sorry if it’s been answered already but I had a quick question.

I’m coming from a 17’ to 19’ Tacoma. I kept my faux grill from my 17 and wanted to know if there’s an easy way to install the TSS sensor on the older 17 style grill or do I just need to buy one that has the cutout for the sensor?

That is definitely not for a Tacoma with a TSS radar sensor. It would have a opening & mounting holes under the "TOYOTA" letters. Read back several pages & take a look at some pics for reference

okay everyone.... do not know if anyone else has this problem.. i lifted my truck 6 inches 33 inch tires and have a aftermarket offroad bumper on my 2018 offroad Tacoma. the dealership will not do anything for the tss system malfunction and the visit dealer error message is really really annoying!!!! is there any way to trick the system or bypass the tss and not even have the radar system??

did this get resolved? i noticed your garnish sits more proud than the ones ive seen. Usually they sit deeper into the slot tilted up.

Long time lurker, first post, crosseyed after reading almost all 77 pages here. I have seen posts that show the 2018 grill garnish costing $50.00, and now, everywhere I look, they are pretty close to if not over $300.00 ?

I would love to do the pro grill swap, but man, it's looking like it could be nearly a $700 event now ? Is this for real?

2018 TRD Off Road 4x4 in Quicksand... Hate the look of the OEM offroad chrome grill bezel.... WTF were Toyota thinking when they made that surround, the only piece of chrome on my whole truck..... it is horrifying.

What is the right way to do this on a 2018 Offroad that won't break the bank?

Could always order a black SR grille trim. That's what I did after having issues with TSS sensor recall & had to take off the China Pro grille I had working just fine until it got water inside from bad design

    Here's where I got it
