I also don’t have the patience to field endless emails about scuffs, scratches and other minutiae for products meant to take impact abuse.

Not a fan boy at all, and not advocating for less info. If the OP was unsure of dimensions because they weren’t listed how hard would it have been to pick up the phone, or email, and ask? Or buy them from a company that had the spec’s listed that met his requirements. Instead, he ordered them without all the info he was looking for. Installed them. Wasn’t happy and then comes on here and says he’s been deceived. That’s the problem I have. If I screw up because I didn’t do my due diligence, it’s on me. Should the specs be listed by RCI, probably. Do they have to list them, no. Are they actively trying to screw customers by selling a product the believe in, absolutely not.

ATTENTION all Off Road Slider and parts makers ............. List all exact dimensions on all products. Especially if you sell rolls of Duct Tape.

    A Professional Engineer, yes.

Go search a job site for the word engineer. You will know my pain in looking for work. Hotel Maintenance Technician? Nope! Site Facilties Engineer.

I'm seriously considering putting Electrical Wizard on a business card.

Edit for clarity:. I am not a PE.

A producer takes their time, effort and energy to offer a product to enthusiasts for the enjoyment of select vehicles. Countless hours of development and testing. They finally bring a product to market they feel works. And consumer slags them on the internet because the product does not meet their very strict requirements. What a world we live in. Research people. More than one company makes these things. And if you truly believe you can do better than step up to the plate and start fabricating.

Now as a foot note, I do plan to attempt to build my own but not because I feel I can do better. I enjoy the task and the challenge.

Seriously? They are literally designed to protect the pitch weld and the bottom of the door from a drop. Can they keep things like that from happening, sure. Sorry to say, the only thing that would probably have stopped that from happening is an EXO cage. Do you all realize body damage is a part of it? No fab company out there can stop everything. Expectations are unreal around here.

You’re a P.E. You must carry professional liability insurance like a doctor or lawyer. That’s how I always spot us real Engineers.

I have “Watermaster” on my business card. :)

I meant that you need a license and insurance to be a PE. I am not one. I don't have anything against getting that, but in my little corner of EE, even meeting someone with a stamp is rare. (And last I checked, you have to work under one as part of the licensing process.)

If there's a gap on the front, there might be one on the rear as well.

That's it, I'm a fanboy for a company I've never purchased anything from.

@EWIZ check out warfabarmor.com. Both variants of @In4aride sliders are 85” in length for the DCSB or ACLB. Good side profile pics on his website. Good fabricator. Sell what you got and check these out. Problem solved.

Seriously!!! Sliders are also to protect the rocker panel, help to get the vehicle though tight spots, keep the truck away from items getting to close to the vehicle, and should be able to be used as a pivot point to get around some objects. The rest of post is just ludicrous.

There isn’t a slider out there that would have prevented that, maybe one with a kick out, but probably not. But, you’re right. I’m ludicrous.
Edit: protecting the pinch weld and door bottoms is not also their job, that’s their main job. The rest, like pivoting, are a benefit of having them.

A slider would've prevented that damage? You should pick better lines or stay off of the trails.

Surely, a few more inches of slider could've prevent this damage...

It’s not like I’m ordering a pair of shoes off Amazon. Receiving the shoes, trying them on and finding out the manufacturer made my size smaller than other manufacturers. Then simply returning the item for a full refund.

With a semi custom slider you’re paying $1000 plus shipping. Receiving the product. Finding out it isn’t a full length slider then requesting a full return with paid shipping.

You’re stuck with 200 pounds of metal!

RCI and any other company that sells large expensive items should have better item descriptions.
