I’ve always been a Toyota fanboy because my dad worked for Lexus and Toyota for years. I knew I wanted to get something to handle the snow when moving back to the Midwest, so the Tacoma was the obvious choice.

Head to the dealership with my pops, who is no longer in the car business, and he sees the deal that I’m about to get for one of the few remaining 2019s. I purchase and drive mine (white) home a day later.

The next day, he gets himself one. Pretty much the same exact model, but in red, automatic, leather, JBL audio, sunroof, and dual climate. I just tell him mine is still better is since it’s manual.

Any other father-son combos on here?

De-modded and traded in my black 14 for my wife’s highlander in this picture. My dads 11 next to it. Now I have a 19 and he has his 11 still. I’ll update pic at some point.

My grandfather always had a Toyota Pickup when I was growing up. I learned to drive a truck gougn down logging roads in Maine with him. I need to find a picture of it, I always wanted a Tacoma and finally got one.

Really cool that so many of you get to share Tacoma ownership with your dad or mom. Can thank my dad for making me so interested in cars. Has always been one of our favorite shared hobbies.

Don't have a pic of it, but my dad has a 2008 DCSB Sport that I did a 6" lift and 35's on way back in 2008 when I first opened my shop. Has just shy of 80,000 miles on it, and it's never been in the shop. I think he's planning on passing it down to my 9 year old when he turns 16.
