It sucks that they decided to put the moonroof on the Pro. I bought mine because it didn't have one. Otherwise I'd have gotten the OR.

Yes, that's right. I bought the Pro because it LACKED something the premium OR had

This 100%. Leave her in 1 or two and don’t have to worry about braking. I often prefer a manual in traffic. I just picked up a 2019 off road 6mt, it doesn’t have the same balls off the line that my 08 XTerra had (but when that VVT kicks in she scoots), and pedal placement makes it damn near impossible to heel toe, but I would be cursing the AT up and down by now based on the one test drive I took one on.

Had a moment while driving the manual, realizing I was in too high of a gear for the situation. I quickly downshifted into 2nd gear going probably 35? without really rev matching it... and she gave me no drama at all. It was very smooth. The engine definitely likes to be revved. It doesn't have any low end torque that I could feel.

That being said, it shifts very well. Clutch is smooth, throws are smooth. Very easy to drive. I noticed you can spend quite a bit of time in each of the lower gears like 1st through 4th. Early into driving it, I found myself shifting too soon. Then I began to spend more time in each lower gear and the truck really drove much better.

    (EDIT fixed nonsense/auto correct bs)

Apparently I have a super effing long torso. I'm 6'1 245 lb. The 2019 Tacoma I could barely get my index finger between the top of my head and the headliner. The 2020 with seat all the way down and moonroof was a little better, but kept bopping my head on the left side headliner when I turned to look.

Holding onto gears longer definitely makes the truck more fun to drive, but short shifting it has been getting me around 19mpg average.

All you MT guys, anyone have the rattling noise when coasting in neutral over bumpy roads etc?

6'1", but my brother calls me the world's largest little person...

I can change lightbulbs while sitting on the floor.

    My legs are so short...

no issues with the AT, its programmed for efficiency, so when i leave it in regular mode it shifts a bit more reluctantly. Flip it in ECT and it is quick to downshift, and drives nicely. My Z has a 5 speed, I wouldn't really want one in my truck. 8/10 I prefer an AT for offroading.

Toyota might say it's normal, but I don't "normally" pay $40k for a new truck that rattles.

Just trying to see if it's a widespread thing across all MT.

    (Ok, I'll do it)

    "How short ARE they!?"

My legs are so short, I have to skip so I don't step on my balls.
