Nope. Either way is acceptable but the common idea now is that the ground pin should be up. If anything falls down and either jars the plug loose or it's already a little loose, contact is made with ground and not a line wire.

Ok, who the heck is using a chainsaw at full RPM at 8am dammit!? It was all nice and quiet until now. Screw this, I'm moving out to the boonies!

Wait, it's Monday. Think I'm just being a little too grumpy...

Heh, I'm just extra grumpy this morning for some reason. I've been awake since 2:30am and a 4 shot espresso is doing nothing. Neighbor kid was blasting his boom box/stereo at 6am as usual so that didn't help.

Ok... last time y'all chatted with me about not using bedliner on the frame. Point taken. The consensus I think I remember was plain old spray paint after knocking off the rust. What about Por-15 instead? Shall I NOT use Por-15?

I just used a bit of POR-15 this weekend to touch up two annoying spots on my frame. I think this stuff works great, but you have to prep the area properly and follow the instructions.

I slept from 00:30 to 03:30 last night.

Por-15 is okay. It's not UV stable but it should be fine under the bed.

Me and spray paint never seem to go together. I don't know if I do something wrong but it always seems to forever stay somewhat gummy and easy enough to just peel off with your fingernail and within days you can see rust breaking out through the sprayed area anyway.

About 1/3rd of what you see of the exposed frame under the bed will get hit with sanding/grinding and some sort of rust treatment and top coat. Planning out my job, I figure 1 quart of Por-15 should do? (internet estimates 1 quart to cover about 100sq.ft)

BTW... I'd think you crazy, but anyone is completely welcome to my rustbucket old bed for FREE if you'd like to haul it off. I cannot see it being good for literally anything other than maybe someone who smashed a corner and is looking for a cheap weld-on replacement. I'm just going to take a trip to a metal recycler when I'm done with the whole project and drop off much of my past year's rusted removed parts for the pittance loose change the scrap metal will get me.

Right now, if you have something half plugged in and something conductive happens to fall on the prongs, you're going to have a surprise light show.

With the ground prong up, less chance of that happening.

The opposing argument is if you grab a plug with the conductors exposed with ground up, your finger could make contact with a hot prong.

Did you try the VSC recalibration? That got rid of those two lights for me after my lift and alignment.
