Often with kevlar it will break the resin but not tear the cloth , it should be fairly easy to patch ,may not be easy to make pretty:rofl:,,, Take a couple of pictures of it
I have everything you need ,kevlar ,S glass or carbon fibre and the release fabric except epoxy resin

Have any of you been through water deeper than the bottom of your doors? How well do the seals keep water out? I'm going out with some friends on Sat. and some of the trails we’re thinking of doing can have water up to 3 feet deep (Shoe Lace, Crystal Lake). I'm hoping the relatively dry summer has the water holes lower than that but plan for the worst right?

Not sure specifically how many layers, bu it's the Prospector 16'6 "X" from a few years back
    IMG_20190520_112319.jpg
the current spec sheet from langford; http://langfordcanoe.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Prospector-16.pdf

I swore i had photos of the cracks, but that doesn't seem to be the case. But yeah, you're correct it's not torn through and floats without leaks. for the time being.
I'd like to make it as nice as possible again as it was the grand prize from Algonquin's annual raffle. Lots of memories tied to it.

That might just work if i coat the entire underside, like a shell

You should be fine, I had water up to where headlights are and everything is dry.

Not sure about it being dry now in the fall tho, have your recovery gear ready.

My grandparents farm was on the corner of schoolhouse road (aka 22 side road in the day) and 10 hwy.
I think the house is still (just barely) standing, but the barns are gone. You can’t see the shell of the house for the overgrown trees.
I love that area. Beautiful country! There was an airport behind the farm and I liked watching the bi-planes flying in formation.

I was just above the emblem on the door many times and no water in the cab.

only 1 time when I buried the front end and opened the door, not realizing how far in I was... that wasn’t pretty and stunk too!

I live the next concession over from the Woodstock flying club now. We see the Harvards practicing all the time. They are loud!
Went up with my buddy in his 1946 post ww2 plane. My first time in a small plane like that. Very cool!

Had to replace both front wheel bearings, passenger worse than driver. The bad one was completely open and full of crap inside which forked up the speed sensor. I keep going through wheel bearings and it's driving me crazy. They been averaging 16 months. Are there any "super heavy duty" bearings I can upgrade to?
