Y'all got a good thread going! I've been doing keto on and off for maybe a year? Down 27 lbs and working out when I can. I love how keto makes me feel.

If anyone has any new snacks they've made or bought, let me know! One of my favorites is the FBOMB nut butters, specifically the salted chocolate macadamia flavor. I always have one in my bag or at my desk. I also enjoy finding new snacks in the Keto Krate. Anyone else subscribe to that?

I like the Kirkland bars and they are considerably less expensive than Quest bars.

This is my go-to quick lunch or dinner:

Jimmy Johns makes an “unwich”, basically a lettuce wrap sandwich instead of bread. This is my homemade version with iceberg lettuce, boars head rare roast beef and AMERICAN cheese. I added a bit of mayo and a touch of catchup as well for taste.

    Excellent quick keto meal. :D

Giving keto another chance. I’m also pairing it with intermittent fasting (16:8) this time around to help become better fat adapted.

I need to give this a go. Slowly working down my beer intake. If I can make that change, I'll take a stab.

Right on dude. Fasting is definitely helpful.
I'm still going strong over here the past year and a half. Just on auto-pilot now.

I am a huge beer lover. I actually work part time as a bartender at a local microbrewery. I basically get a lot of free or reduced price beer.

I have significantly cut back my intake over the last month and am now really trying to do keto again.

Its now getting to the point where I really don’t want to drink much anymore. 1 beer on Saturday or Sunday night is about all I care for anymore.

The IF has done this moreso than the keto has.

The IF took a couple weeks but has become life changing. My energy level is insane.

Intermittent fasting just another word for not eating while you sleep. So if breakfast is at 6am and you eat dinner at 6pm and don’t eat eat after like you should that’s a 12hour fast. I call it not over eating.

And anyone that’s does keto correctly don’t be mad when I say you and your breath stink like fingernail polish remover. You realize you brain and body were meant to have carbs(good kind, not crappy chips etc) and that your body is not designed to continuously produce ketones.

    No. That is absolutely incorrect.
If you want to have an intelligent conversation about intermittent and prolonged fasting, I’m all for it.
You want to be snide about it I don’t have time for that.

On your 16:8 correct if I’m wrong, you eat during an 8hour window then nothing for 16

    yea man... It's nuts.

I do dinner to lunch the next day without eating... sometimes I'll do a 24 hr fast or even a 36 hr... just to mix it up. It's supposed to be a reset for the cells.
