My dad, a Navy vet, told me the joke about the men's rooms on Navy ships. He also joked about his destroyer ripping the conning tower off a sub during ASW drills. He also joked about a shipmate that was an alcoholic, but an honest one: he'd steal your mouthwash but leave you a couple quarters to pay for it.

your Dad is cool, mine was in the Air Force stationed in Alaska during the Korean times

 

He's pretty okay.

He had a friend that worked for Skunkworks on the SR-71. He had stories where he'd get on a blacked out plane for anywhere from 9-20 hours, get off the plane inside a sealed hanger, he'd do his work on the Blackbird, then get back on the plane and return home. Never knew where was was.
