BFG KM2 or Kumho Road Venture M/T?

Which one should i get. so far im leaning tward the KM2 but im looking for some other opinions.

 

well i have the kuhmo road ventura all terrains and they are quiet, dont kill my gas, and have yet to leave me stuck in mud, but its your call

 

BFG is way better and the KM2s have been proven in all terrain time and time again

 

KM2s if your gonna go with those 2 choices I have a couple friends who have had them. The wear on those things are like an all terrain. I have the nitto trail grappler mt, they are by far my favorite tires. Not as loud for an mt and I've had 10k on them and theyre still brand new!

 

ya the Nitto was my 3rd choice. i have heard good things about em. Im just lookin for somethin that will last me a good while on the streets but still be good off the road.

IMO if you go with KM2s or Nitto Trail grapplers you can not go wrong! I havent heard anything bad about either tires. The thread on the km2 looks bigger then the trail grappler looks a little bigger. So its up to you, my trail grapplers are awesome, cant wait to buy these tires again in a few years in a bigger size. I balance the tires every 2k miles since its free at discounttire lifetime. So its worth it man, have you looked at the goodyear wrangler duratracs?

 

dont know what size wheel the OP has, but there are no trail grapplers for 15 or 16 inch wheels.

I've heard great things about the Kumhos. I've heard problems with the KM2's sidewalls (rip easily).

Might want to check out Maxxis Bighorns, Cooper STTs, Micky Thompson MTZs, etc.

 

Ya i have a 285/75/16 Cooper STT right now. and they have been great but im just lookin to change it up a little.

I would recomend the KM2s they are ( from what I have read ) the best offroad tires. It is the second generation of the BFG Mud terrain tires, and its older brother has been used in the Baja 1000 and I think has won.

what would you guys recommend for a tire that's going to see 99.9% of it's life on the street and good in the rain, this last one is very important.

the only think else it will see is snow....with some possible light venturing off road (and i mean light lol)

i'm picking the truck up sunday and it's got some meat eaters (don't know the brand yet) on it now so i want to see what else is out there

 

I would go with Michelin LTX MS or LTX MS 2s. There are a very good on-road tire, and are amazing in rain and good in snow. I have a set on my truck, they are amazing, and they are pretty nice offroad. Just as an example I went through water that came up to my door handles and did not get stuck.

 

you're on your 3rd set of those tires? ....how many miles are you getting per set?

 

Lol, 6,000..and then I go bigger. Started with 265/75/16, then 285, now 315.

 

How is the cooper stt in the rain for you??
