I just installed a light bar in the lower grill on my 2013. Prior to that, I had the plate covering that area (required in my state).

Now that the light bar is on. I dont want to block it during everyday driving.

What placement are people using? Any special brackets to relocate my plate in a place that gets it out of the way?

Relocate the plate higher if you have enough room on the front bumper that way you cover up the holes . You could also place it lower on the grey part of the bumper. As long as it is visible no one will bother you. Mine is covered by a bull bar and haven't been bothered by anyone.

I used the hole to mount the plate higher. So its using the lower part of the plate. But it looks horrible like this

Just mount it in the same holes on the bumper but in the bottom hole on the license plate. It just move the plate up. As you can see I have lights in the bottom and the grill doesn’t block either 0297FC6E-ED90-4123-9C2E-7308B96225E0.jpg

a 2015 Dodge Ram license plate holder fits perfect. I drilled mine into the lower plastic fascia but be careful the aluminum crash bar is directly behind it. Ive heard the news Camry front license plate mount fits it too

I placed christmas tree fasteners into the 2 holes left by the old plate location and painted them to match the bumper color

I moved mine up but just moving it up created a problem. Wind would blow it back and bend it and any golden nozzle car wash would fold it down towards the front. I hooked up a bracket system with some metal strap ties and hooked it into the front grill.

theres a thread on here that sells a relocation bracket so you can bolt it to the two bolts underneath the bumper and it sets the top end of the plate on the lower grey plastic section on the bumper just without drilling the holes or anything.

That’s easy. Get some of those black plastic push pins about the size of dime. Paint them the bumper color and push in the hole and your done.

I have always wondered why people blackout their license plate? The little old lady walking down the street can easily get a pen and paper and write down your license number right now. Just wondered if I should also do it when I post? If I go to target later 700,000 people will see my plate.

I have my HAM radio callsign on the tailgate of my truck which is easily searched to my home address in the FCC database. Still haven't been murdered. License plates are much more annoying to get info for. It isn't an issue, but if it makes you sleep better at night...

And because I am blatantly ignoring the last line of the OP: windshield. BUT for a reason: In UT, the law says that a front plate is req'd if there is mounting provisions for it. My bumper plastic didn't have the holes drilled in it, and therefore was not "equipped for it". I keep it in the window to play nice with the popo, and have the state code printed out in my glovebox. Figure it's a bargaining chip. Maybe your state has a similar law. Edit: I see you drilled the holes.
