    If I was in Texas I would had thrown in a Cummins turbo diesel or done a LSX swap already and strapped a TVS2650 to it. :headbang:

    You guys with the OE exhaust, where did you install your AFR? I'm trying to install an Innovate MTX-L AFR gauge on the stock exhaust and wondering if I need to have a new bung and hole ported into the mid pipe before the 2nd cat.

    Just after the y-pipe. Waiting on a new y-pipe to have dual wide band sensors. It might look leaner than if you go upstream but I only had one sensor and it’s temporary anyways.

    Anyone boosted at altitude having the same issues I'm having with their boost gauge being inaccurate? Mine seems to be about 4 psi off (which would make sense considering my altitude). I just installed an awesome looking AEM x series and it stays in vacuum most of the time, and when it does go into boost it's only reading about 3 psi, lol. Did a bit of research and seems this a common thing; I was not aware of it. Can I calibrate the sending unit for the change in pressure up here in CO, or am I stuck with having to do maths in my head everytime I glance at it? what have others done?

    Make sure you don't have vacuum leaks around the TRD intercooler cap. Make sure your bypass valve is operating properly.

    Boost will still be lower than sea level, but should still operate rather quickly with throttle position.

    If it has always operated the same and well, upgrade to a smaller pulley, at a minimum, while considering supporting mods.

    No vacuum leaks, and bypass valve seems good. With the ignition on (engine not turning) it should read zero. Mine reads around -4 inHg, which would make sense because the atmospheric pressure here is about 4 below the avg. at sea level. these sensors are calibrated at sea level and assume that they will be operating near that. I found a WRX forum here in CO, and those guys have talked about it pretty regularly (but with away higher boost numbers) and recommend folks go to a mechanical gauge where the vacuum line is plugged straight in the gauge; I don't really want to go that route. I just installed the 2.85 pulley and know that I'm getting more boost than before, and it comes on earlier. I have also done the FPR mod and jet removal and have an upgraded fuel pump, I don't think it's the setup. AFR numbers are good.
    If there's nothing that can be done to re-calibrate for altitude, then I guess I'll just have to live with it.... or go with a Speedhut gauge that I can at least get customized with the TRD logo (and smaller boost range).

    a mechanical gauge could have its advantages. ive got two digital boost gauges. both give different readings. until i get a mechanical one i really dont know for sure which one is accurate.

    I'm at ~7K ft and my gauge appears accurate. Sorry if I missed it, but what pulley are you running, what's your elevation, and how much boost do you think you should have?

    Remember that boost pressure is inversely related to elevation. (3 psi may be accurate, depending on your elevation and if you're running the OEM 3" pulley.) A 2.5" Smoothflow pulley @ ~7K ft yields...
    - Idling = -17 - -15 in hg
    - Cruising = -15 - 0 in hg
    - Moderate throttle/boost = 0 - 3 psi
    - WOT/full boost = 5 - 7 psi
