I've got a 2019 Tacoma TRD sport automatic transmission. I was wondering if anyone out there is experiencing any issues with their automatic transmission. Mine seems to be hunting for Gears all the time truck feels like it's stuttering when maintaining a speed and is not downshifting when I feel it needs to. It's driving me crazy. Was just wondering if anybody with the same year and model is experiencing any of the same issues.

Very common complaint on here, give it 3-5 thousand miles . Mine felt way better after a few thousand miles .

my 18 does this. 40-50mph is the worst, it idles along and you can feel it bucking like a manual transmission car thats in too high of a gear. I believe there is a TSB that reprograms the computer to fix this.

BTW, im at 12000 miles right now, its done this since new. I will eventually get it fixed though.

I got 1,800 miles on the truck. Got an appointment to take it in this week and and have it looked at for the second time.

At 3000 miles my 19 trans works very good with the V-6 .

While your at the dealership you might as well take a look at some other models to trade it in on if it really bothers you. There isn't much they are going to be able to do about the transmission, almost all of them are "quirky"

It’s actually your transmission letting you know it’s going to explode at exactly 999.9 miles if you don’t send a dick pic to your grandma.

I know, quite the pickle to be in... that’s why I got a manual.
