What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Thanks man! Installation wasn't terrible. Took a little over an hour, and no drilling required. There's 4 C clamps holding the center section to the bedrails, and both ends are held in by these retracting metal rods. The system seems to work pretty well and I feel a lot better leaving stuff in the bed now.

Nothing big, but I popped out the cigarette lighter, and installed a dual USB port.

 

Yep. Know it well. We hunt at Fort Hunter Liggett. I got 8 quail today at Carrizo plains before my dog pooped out. I think she overheated.

 

Wait, popped out! I dismantled the entire center console.

 

Yeah, I thought I was gonna have to do that too. A little Googling beforehand, and I found out I could pull the head unit and reach down from the back.

Very nice. I have a pro but I like what you’ve done better. Might have to consider the total blackout

 

My truck is an SR so no chrome anywhere. Now everything is red and black pretty much.

 

I tried to reach reach down like that, I couldn't get it to pop out

It wasn't easy. There are some tabs that hold it in. I pushed it out a little and got ahold of it with some needle nose pliers while reaching in to try to release the tabs...pulled it out.

 

What brand raptor lights did you end up going with? I want to install some but wasn't sure what to get. -Thanks!

Came with and add a fuse and was a pretty easy install

As with any, depending on where you mount then you might need to do some trimming. I can confidently say only a box cutter is needed to modify your truck. Dremel would be great if you have one
