If the vehicle originally came from ANY Servco dealer here in Hawaii, you dont get the Entune App suite. You cant even register it on the Toyota site. This also goes for any Lexus product that has Enform. My wifes NX doesnt even have the SOS button that came standard with all other mainland US and other countries vehicles. They claim the Satellites dont reach Hawaii but i think that is BS. If you brought your US mainland Toyota to Hawaii, it works....Servco is the authorized Distributor for Toyota and Lexus products in Hawaii and they have the exclusive right to sell them here. You cant even report a problem to Corporate like alot of people say to do when they have an issue, they just refer you back to Servco.

I have read in the past that there is a work around, but you will need to register with a VIN from a vehicle purchased on the mainland, but that wouldn’t be right so i never did it.

Good luck getting this added by Servco.

This is the email response I got from Servco CSD:
We received your inquiry from the dealer.

As the vehicle was purchased new in Hawaii your vehicle is equipped with Entune Premium Audio w/Navigation which is the name of the Audio unit, unfortunately this does not include any connected services as this Model Year is no applicable such as the appsuite. Again, the appsuite portion is not available for vehicles for this Year, Make, and Model that were sold new in Hawaii as this feature was unavailable for Hawaii.

I am including all the Standard Features for your vehicle as well.

Welp, time to go back to where you bought it and see how they are going to fix this issue.

Unless they had a sign on it or papers that stated it had the Entune App Suite, they really don't have to do anything.

I wouldnt waste you or service's time. The apps are garbage (Entune is trash anywho) and they deleted a bunch of them so your left with the stinkest of the garbage. Just bluetooth/USB it up and call it a day. That or trade it in for a 2020 with apple carplay/android auto...

Sounds about right on the response you will get from Servco.

The apps suck so bad that once you install them you will remove them anyway. Pretty much true about the whole tuner and antennas. Mine is so bad I just listen to podcasts.

I do have an appointment at Carmax. The window sticker stated that it has satellite radio. Not. We’ll see what they say but they won’t do anything I’ll just be happy with what I have for now and change out the system when I can afford it.

Hopefully Carmax will do something for you since it stated it supposed to have Sat Radio. HD radio works great though.

It has satellite radio (capable is the key word), you just need to buy the subscription. New toyota's have it for free for 3 months. Then even we gots to pay. You can usually haggle them down to like $7 a month if you really want it.

Not an option on our Hawaii Toyotas. I dont think the XM receiver is even installed under the head unit. I dont recall since XM is not available in Hawaii anyway.

You’re referring to XM Radio, which is different from Satellite.

Ahh must of missed that, then guess there's that possibility, but the mainland trucks all had it as a standard capability and trial subscription, as did my 15.

Servco CS actually called to talk about it. I asked if there any physical difference between a Hawaii Tacoma and Mainland one. She indicated that it is a software difference. That’s what I thought. So, theoretically all it would need is a reflash of sorts. I’m sure it’s not publicly available. She said she would check and email the info.
