What does your insurance agreement paperwork actually say?

Maybe next time you'll care just enough to read your policy, instead of looking for an out after the fact.

I was planning on it. When I looked at it it didn’t seem that bad. But it was a 2500 repair. My deductible is 500.

I should have. I’ve always had rental coverage on my policy. So I expected the same when I got the truck. And again, my agent said that it comes default on the policy unless someone specifically asks to take it off. He’s telling me I asked him to take it off. Which I didn’t. That’s what is pissing me off.

Dude. Tacoma World was cool when I joined. Some time since then it's become overrun with "hard ass" keyboard warriors that don't do much but talk shit and high five the other trolls with one hand and circle jerk with the other.

Sorry OP, you probably could have gotten some sort of helpful answer 6 months ago, not sure what happened. I'm sure every person replying here reads their entire insurance policy front to back and reads the EULA before clicking "I accept." If I thought I had coverage and my insurance company removed it without telling me, I would definitely switch, but not before letting them know you're switching home and auto if they won't cover the rental.

edit: 3rd gen forum is also pretty widely known as a cesspool, you might have better luck elsewhere.

You should have an insurance card from your insurance company along with a hard copy of your policy. What does it say on the insurance card and your policy they sent you? If it says rental coverage contact your local agent. If it rental coverage is not listed, lesson learned. Read the card and your policy for errors.

hey OP good luck man, next time though for real just buy an ACTUAL bumper ( made of steel) powder coat the thing black and move along in life knowing the new bumper might be better suited for life instead of 7 pieces of plastic snapped on a thin piece of metal and the dent or whatever in the panel just tell everyone you got it from crawling through the parking lot..did you try to enter a code before backing up half a mile?...seriously not trying to be a prick or anything i just read through 3 pages of this and was honestly curious...let us know man
