You got psychic powers buddy - just thinking about you!

Got my replacement driver side tail light to match the passenger this week. I wish I'd known that you had some cool newer ones, and that I had mentioned sooner, so that @BassAckwards would have told me they'd work!
    (dumb pic won't load!)

I had a dream the day before ATX C&C - someone put spacers and 44's on my dang Taco, and left it in the driveway just like that. I couldn't turn it when trying to leave, and ran into the remnants of a tree across the street. I was pissed off!

Shock talk always makes me ask questions..... So, that's not abnormal. I want luxury ride. I'd like to not have spacers, but money to replace that lift isn't readily available - at this time. So I try to listen and learn.

On TTC someone who is trading in wants to get rid of Ray 10s in trade (or plus), and I can't get a response!

It's not a bug. It's just trying to do what and when I can! (yes, it's a bug)

last line says it all: it’s not a bug (yes, it’s a bug)

I completely understand wanting the Cadillac ride quality. Exactly why I wanted the Kings. I’ll never do the high speed shenanigans they’re built to handle off road. Except for the occasional 40-60mph down a vacant beach. But I completely love their on road ride quality. Comfort is critical. After a lot of reading and researching, I would recommend a progressive shock like Fox, ADS, or King for you. Stay away from a digressive such as Icon. A progressive (full) leaf pack like the Dakar or Expos would only compliment the ride quality in the rear. Fancy things like ride adjusters and reservoirs are pretty cool but only add more to the cost. Keep in mind with the Kings you can always add those later and spread out the spending.

That’s a funny dream you had lol
Must have been 24” of spacers

You looking to add some scs rims? What color Ray 10’s?

    1. Yes, I don't think I really need all the extra "stuff" for the ride I'd like, and the minimal OR I do. Extension? Curbs or the odd rock I didn't see! Still kind of down the road stuff. I noted that the weight of the bumper guard "calmed down" the front end, and I am keeping the Ez-Up and chair in the back, with other minor stuff, and with the new/old shock I don't Chris-Craft, but I do "crash" over the harsh bump, then recover. It rides nice, but I know it's got a little more to go. I've heard both directions about the springs, but my confusion is probably related to the difference in equipment from the people making the comments = already far more other mods than me. I will get there.

    2. Yes, the WHOLE wheel and tire was outside the fender, and no extra lift or nothing! A cartoon gone horribly wrong!

    3. Haven't gotten contact back about size or color. Has KO2's on it, and TPMS, which I have as well. But, that's all I know. If he wants someone to fund new tires and wheels for the next truck, it won't be me anyway.

If there’s one thing I could say about suspension it would be this: do it right, do it once. Buy once, cry once. Do your homework, learn what makes each brand different and why they do it the way they do and how that affects ride quality. You will save yourself a lot of undue frustration and spending if you just get exactly the setup you want the first time.

TW has a wealth of information and customer reviews. Take the reviews with a grain of salt, they are subjective after all. Successful name brands are successful for a reason, though. If you can find someone with a setup you’re interested in, go for a ride!

Hopefully you’ll get those rims/tires, they would look real nice on your monster truck :D

    1. 3" lift (like I sort of have) is all I want. I saw your post in the King 3". Probably next year sometime, I will get serious into the suspension. Don't want to go further, just level and better. Matt's truck rode pretty nice on the HF run, which was astounding given the conditions. I think he had the Kings then. The Kings are what Chris showed me at the shop, and I do like what I saw. I know you run them, so..... I will figure out the specific parts later. Next C&C if we have time, love to go for a ride around the block.

    2. I'm really hoping the guy is reasonable and bought that metallic grey! I don't care about the KO2's unless he wore them out. The bronze would look OK on LBR though!

    3. Fixed income means if I don't spend money on other stuff, I have some to spend. This month, I "put aside" what Brandon offered for his rear bumper (when he actually changes it), so that's the budget. I will take extra monies out of retirement for emergency, or for vacation trips for the wife and me, but I have to save for truck mods just like you guys!

Remind me at the next CnC and we will go for a ride! There is this weird thing the Kings do as soon as you go off the pavement - they somehow ride better. It’s like they know and they go into high performance shock mode somehow. So, I’m not surprised to hear Matt’s ride quality was good at HF. Fast or slow, they feel really good.
You just reminding me though, I want to pull them off the truck, break them down and have the springs sand blasted and the powder coat re-done. Starting to look not so good.

Just about any color Ray 10 would look good but I’d be more partial to the grey as well.
